Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of Life's Flow recognize ki as the common link of all life, choosing to focus their mastery on its spiritual and universal properties. They strive to hone their ki as a source of both enlightenment and enrichment, using it as a medium to bridge the gaps between body and mind as well as the gaps between all living things. Through hard earned mastery, they learn to encourage rapid bodily healing, evoke empathy from others, and read the ki of other beings.

Enlightened Spirit

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain additional Ki Points equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Spiritual Empathy

At 6th level, your mastery of ki allows you to bring out the best in people while granting you a keen advantage in situations where empathy is key.

When you make an Animal Handling, Insight, or Persuasion ability check, you may spend 1 Ki Point to roll an additional d20. You ca choose to use this feature after you roll the die, but before the outcome is determined. You choose which of the d20s is used for the ability check. You may only use this option once per ability check.

Additionally, as an action you can spend 3 Ki Points to cast Calm Emotions or Enhance Ability without providing material components. When cast in this way, you may spend additional Ki Points to increase the casting level of Enhance Ability by 1 for each Ki Point spent, to a maximum level equal to your Proficiency Bonus. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Unlocking the Chakras

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your knowledge of the flow of ki through living things allows you to encourage healing within yourself and others.

As a Bonus Action, you may touch a willing creature and expend any number of Ki Points. That creature may immediately expend a number of hit dice less than or equal to the amount of Ki Points you spent to regain hit points. When hit dice are expended in this way, they are treated as having rolled their maximum value.

When you reach 5th level in this class, you may expend 3 Ki Points to cast Lesser Restoration without providing material components .

Ki Sight

Beginning at 11th level, you can attune yourself to the ki within all living things, allowing you to sense their location.

As an Action, you may expend any number of Ki Points to activate your Ki Sight. Your Ki Sight lasts for a number of minutes equal to the amount of Ki Points spent to activate it, until you dismiss it as a Bonus Action, or until you lose concentration as if concentrating on a spell.

While Ki Sight is active, you know the location of all creatures within 90 feet of you granting you vision of these creatures at all times. While a creature is located with Ki Sense it gains no benefits against you from being obscured, hidden, the invisibility condition, or if you are suffering from the blinded condition; you do not suffer penalties from being obscured or blinded when attacking or perceiving a creature located with Ki Sense. You also know a creature's size and creature type.

Your Ki Sight can penetrate barriers, but 2 feet of rock, 2 inches of any metal other than lead, or a thin sheet of lead blocks you. Constructs and Undead are immune to the effects of Ki Sight.

Master of Life’s Forces

At 17th level, you have mastered the art of invigorating ki within yourself and others, forever altering your potential.

When an ally within 30 feet of you fails a saving throw, you may use your Reaction and expend 2 Ki Points to allow them to reroll the save. They must use the second result.

Additionally, when you finish a Short Rest you may regain a number of hit dice equal to your Wisdom Modifier. Once you use this feature, you must finish a Long Rest before you can use it again
