Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

The Hatred domain focuses on channeling hatred into ambition. The gods of hate promote the use of one's inner anger and hatred to enact one's will upon others, for better or worse depending on the machinations of the individual. Many evil deities claim influence over this domain such as Bain, Ghaunadaur, Grolantor, and Gruumsh. While most practitioners of this domain follow evil tenants, some clerics have managed to focus their anger through the lens of justice and gain their divine powers from gods such as Helm or Tyr.

Hatred Domain Spells

Starting at 1st level you gain additional spells at cleric levels noted below. You always have the spells prepared and they don't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day.

1st: Hex, Hellish Rebuke

3rd: Branding Smite, Mind Spike

5th: Bestow Curse, Slow

7th: Banishment, Staggering Smite

9th: Banishing Smite, Synaptic Static

Bonus Proficiencies

At 1st level, you gain proficiency with martial weapons and heavy armor.

Hate Induced Numbness

Starting at 1st level, your hate-filled soul has numbed both mind and body. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Additionally, when you take damage from an attack you can use your reaction to roll a d4 and reduce the damage by the amount rolled. The number of dice rolled increases to 2d4 at 5th level, 3d4 at 11th level, and 4d4 at 16th level.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Focused Fury

At 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to focus your hatred on engaging a specific target in combat.

As a bonus action, you point your holy symbol toward a creature of your choice that you can see within 60 feet and channel your hatred within. Until the end of your next turn, you have advantage on attack rolls made against the target and have advantage on saving throws against effects made by the target.

Concentrated Ire

At 6th level, your divine fervor allows you to brutalize the victims of spells you are maintaining focus on.

When you use the attack action and target a creature that is currently under the effects of a spell you are concentrating on, you can immediately use your bonus action to make an additional attack against the target.

Divine Strike

At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 damage of the same type dealt by the weapon to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

Sustained Fury

At 17th level, you have learned how to prolong your rage and balance your aggression with defensive technique.

Your Focused Fury now lasts 1 minute and the targeted creature has disadvantage on attacks against you.
