Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Your innate magic comes from a rampant arcane arrow. Maybe you were struck by Cupids arrow and the magic went awry, perhaps you were raised amongst amazons who's magic got passed to you or maybe you mistook a sprites arrow for a toothpick. However it came to be, your magic has a great affinity for archery and you are able to release it in ways to enhance your own.

Bowmancers are masters at ranged fighting, using magic to make their shots more powerful than the average archer. Whilst they may not attack as frequently, their magic makes them far more versatile.

Archers Focus

Starting at 1st level you can use a bow as an arcane focus. You also gain proficiency in the short bow if you did not already have it.

Furthermore you can choose to learn spells from the bowmancy spell table. These spells are sorcerer spells for you.

Arcane Shot

Starting at 1st level, as an action you can infuse your bow with your magic. As part of this action you make a ranged weapon attack with your bow, using Charisma as the attack modifier (rather than Dexterity).

This is considered a cantrip level spell for the purposes of metamagic.

Starting at 6th level, as part of this action you can choose to conjure a piece of ammunition with which to make the attack. This piece of ammunition has the same stats as a regular arrow and disappears at the end of your turn.

Arcane Arrow

Starting at 6th level, when you make a ranged weapon attack you can deal an additional 1d6 Force damage to the target. This arrow is considered magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances, the magic on the arrow fades immediately after the attack, whether it hits or misses.

The damage increase becomes 2d6 at 11th level and 3d6 at 17th level.

Enhanced Bow

Starting at 14th level whilst you are holding a bow you can choose to give it a +2 to its attacks and damage rolls. This effect cannot be used on any bow that already has magical properties. This bonus disappears when you are not holding the weapon.

Only one bow can benefit from this feature at a time.

This changes to +3 bonus at 17th level.

Cantrip Arrow

Starting at 18th level when you make a ranged weapon attack, as a bonus action you can cast a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action at the same target if they are in range of the spell.

You can instead choose to cast a spell in place of the cantrip with this feature by expending 1 sorcery point and the relevant spell slot. This spell cannot be higher than 5th level and must have a casting time of 1 action.
