Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

There are worlds that have life, and there are worlds that are alive; planet-sized beings who also bear other living things upon them as they traverse the cosmos. Some see these beings as godlike in power, but gods do know that such entities may channel divine powers, but are some other unique force of nature entirely. They are an entire planet's nature, after all, and magic flows through nature systems in its own potent ways. Warlocks who make bonds with such beings are often denizens of such worlds, but not always, and they wield powers of arcane and natural might tinged with the inspirations gained through their unique bond.

These warlocks are rare, and strange when compared to many of their kind. They make a pact with a being the size of an entire world, and have magical knowledge bestowed upon them through the arcane-nature-bond they form with their patron. Whether they live upon their patron world or travel to worlds beyond, they command powerful magics and alter environments, using force and stone, speaking with plants and animals, and commanding elementals. There is exactly one such warlock in Avalestra, who stumbled in haplessly through the Forest of the Mynd, and is desperately lost in seeking his patron, yet still gains mysterious powers from his pact.

Arcane Crystallization

1st-level Pact of the Living Planet feature

At 1st level, your patron grants you knowledge of arcane secrets of earth and stones, and you learn to reinforce damage from cantrips you cast with crystalline manifestations of pure arcane power. Many of these warlocks insist this doesn't exactly make their spells hit harder per se, but the reinforcement does show advantage in terms of consistency, ensuring that hits with the force of their cantrips generally matter much more. Whenever you deal damage with a cantrip, 1's you roll on damage dice may be rerolled once each.

Additionally, you learn the Druidcraft cantrip and your choice of any two of the following cantrips: Booming Blade, Green-Flame Blade, Magic Stone, Primal Savagery, Shillelagh, Spare the Dying, Thorn Whip or Thunderclap.

Worldspeaker

6th-level Pact of the Living Planet feature

At 6th level, you are granted a unique ability to openly communicate and speak with almost all forces within a nature system. This unique talent opens many avenues for a cunning Warlock, and enables you to enter into alliances, trade, and arrangements with almost all things in the world. You can cast Speak with Animals, Speak with Plants, or Tongues once without expending a spell slot before you must finish a short or long rest to cast one of these spells again this way.

This mighty additional power to your voice gives it a nearly otherworldly quality, echoing with power if you choose it to. The additional benefit of this is that it allows the voice to empower magic in fascinating new ways. Whenever you cast a spell using Warlock spell slots and that spell has a verbal component, enemies cannot use their reaction to cast spells or cantrips  until your spell effect resolves.

Rootsteps

10th-level Pact of the Living Planet feature

At 10th level, you learn one of the most notable techniques known among these unusual Warlocks, the tangible magical demonstration of their connection to magical natural powers. You grow magical and spectral growing roots that writhe around your body, feet and legs like tentacles or serpents. As a bonus action, you cause the magical roots to manifest, which confers several benefits:

- Protective spectral vines and bark or small crystalline stones encase your body. Your armor class cannot be less than 16 for the duration.

- You cannot be moved by effects that would push, pull, or slide you horizontally in any direction.

- You can climb walls and vertical surfaces that are not sheer, smooth surfaces without using extra movement. For example, a bumpy stone or brick wall, a slightly craggy cliff face, or a rough tree trunk are all surfaces you may easily traverse, but a straight, flat iron barrier, stucco or adobe wall, or walls conjured with magical power are too smooth to be climbed in such a way, as the spectral roots cannot find purchase in the small crannies to propel you upwards.

- You can cast Tree Stride once without expending a spell slot while these roots are manifested.

These spectral roots remain manifested for a number of minutes equal to ten times your proficiency bonus. You may use this feature once before you must finish a long rest to use it again.

Additionally, as long as you are standing on a solid surface or are burrowed within a solid, you may add 1d8 bludgeoning damage to damage you deal with spells or cantrips once per turn, as you cause earth and stones near the you to fly forth and smash into your enemies.

Primordial Perfection

14th-level Pact of the Living Planet feature

At 14th level, you become a truly potent oddity, understanding deep arcane secrets regarding any nature system you're immersed in and part of. You gain the following benefits:

- You gain a burrowing speed equal to half your speed.

- Beasts and Elementals you summon with spells gain 2 additional maximum hit points per hit die and damage they deal is treated as if it is magical damage.

- You can cast either Bones of the Earth, Move Earth, or Wall of Thorns once without expending a spell slot. You must finish a short or long rest to be able to cast one of these spells using this feature again.

Additionally, you add the following spells to the Warlock spell list: Bones of the Earth, Move Earth, Transport via Plants, Wall of Thorns, Earthquake, and Invulnerability.
