Base Class: Wizard

Black Mages have committed time and focus into the Dark Arts of Destruction, focusing on Fire, Frost, and Thunder. Some even capable of manipulating poisons and Gravity. Black Mages are rare amongst the casting populace of Ivalice due to the perception surrounding their magic. Unlike other magicka users their spells focus solely on destruction and thus do not take into account if a friend/ally is in the targeted area. The extreme's of the Black Mage leave little else but a barren wasteland when fully realized and many prove to be power hungry or driven mad with ambition. Even rarer still however, there are Black Mages who wish to learn these Dark Arts for the protection or betterment of their friends or country. The best defense is a good offense they say.

Quickening

With a sharp mind you can add your Intelligence modifier to your Initiative Rolls.

Arcane Strength

Through manipulation of Dark Magicka you can increase all spell damage by an additional D6 of damage, as well as impose disadvantage on targets who must make a saving throw to resist effects of your spells for 1 minute.

After using this feature you must wait until you have completed a Long Rest to use this feature again.

Magick Counter

As a Reaction to being hit by an attack, after damage calculations the Black Mage may cast a spell, up to 3rd level at the target that hit them.

You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence Modifier, and regain all uses at the end of a Long Rest.

Double Cast

The Black Mage has learned to cast two spells woven together through a single spell slot. Combining both the damage and effects of each spell into one devastating new spell.

Once this feature has been used it cannot be used again until the next Dawn.
