Way of the Folding Dragon

A simple way of life, the Way of the Folding Dragon appreciates the beauty of simple paper, putting their heart and soul into the art they make.

Paperwork

Starting at 3rd level, you can spend some time during a long rest to create a number of Paper Sculptures equal to your Level + Wisdom Modifier. In shape they can be anything you wish, but each must have writing on it, following three different options.

Guiding. When you use your Step of the Wind feature, you may expend one Guiding sculpture to gain a flying speed equal to you walking speed for the rest of your turn.

Striking. When you make an attack with your Fury of Blows feature, you may expend one Striking sculpture to make an attack on a different creature within 30ft, dealing damage equal to your Martial Arts die.

Scouting. You may expend one Scouting sculpture over the course of 10 minutes to have it travel to a point within 1 mile, during which the sculpture will record everything it sees on itself in writing and return to you by the end of the duration. 

Over the course of a short rest, you can alter the writing on the sculptures to change the type of them.

Protective Paper

Starting at 6th level, after you expend one of your sculptures, it starts to fly in circles around you. Each piece has a number of hit points equal to your proficiency bonus. When you would take damage you may interpose your paper to absorb the damage.

Recycle

Starting at 11th level, at the end of your turn if you have spent at least 2 ki points, you gain a sculpture of your choice equal to half the number of ki you spent rounded down.

Form of Paper

Starting at 17th level, you can spend 5 ki points as an action to cast simulacrum. When used in this way, the spell has the following changes.

The duration becomes 12 hours-

The copy is made of paper, and appears with the same sculpture count as you at the time of creation-

You can spend 1-5 sculptures to repair your copy. For each sculpture spent the copy regains 5 hit points and 1 ki point.

Once you use this feature, you can not use it again until you finish a long rest.
