Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The occult slayer is driven to confront any arcane or divine spellcaster who crosses her path. Occult slayers believe that mortals are too irresponsible to wield magic, and that those who dare to do so must be slain. Spellcasters who become occult slayers are considered to have seen the error of their ways - although they may still cast spells, they rely primarily on their battle prowess and their ability to resist magical effects to defeat their enemies.

Auravision

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can cast the detect magic spell twice per short rest without expending a spell slot or material components.

Vicious Strike

Starting at 3rd level, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, the creature takes an extra 1d8 damage if it’s concentrating on a spell or other magical effect.

The extra damage increases by 1d8 at 6th level (2d8), again at 10th level (3d8), and again at 14th level (4d8).

Magical Defense

At 6th level, you can cast the counterspell and dispel magic spells each twice per short rest without expending a spell slot or material components.

Blank Thoughts

Beginning at 10th level, you are always under the effects of a mind blank spell.

Mind over Magic

Starting at 14th level, when a creature casts a spell that targets only you it must first succeed a Wisdom saving throw or be forced to target another creature instead. If there are no other creatures to target the spell instead fails and the spell slot is expended. The DC equals 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Constitution modifier
