Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Those that follow the path of the prepared, have a tendency of being frowned upon by traps and tumbles laid by faith. This school, though not as aggressive as the others, is as, if not more, versatile than the rest. The founders of this have a fond belief that allowing oneself to be a surprised is a sign a weakness, and so they manufactured a manner to surpass any obstacle in their way.

Steps to Overprepare

At 2nd level, you have learned the first steps on how to properly prepare yourself against any surprise that might come your way. You learn an additional cantrip from the wizard spell list that does not count against your total amount of cantrips known.

Whenever you prepare your spell list, you may over-prepare one of your prepared 1st level spells in order to cast it at will without using a spell slot a number of times equals to your proficiency bonus OR over-prepare a known cantrip in order to gain the ability to cast it as a bonus action. This over-prepared state lasts until your next long rest.

To be truly Preparesd

By taking the time to truly prepare yourself against anything your imagination can think of, and everything you've encountered, you gain an additional spell slot every time you level up. This spell slot can only be added to spell levels that are one third of your wizard level or lower (rounded to the nearest whole number).

Over-Over-prepared

Starting at 6th level, you may over-prepare an additional 1st level spell and one cantrip of you choosing or one 2nd level spell and one cantrip only.

Each over-prepared spell can be cast at will without using a spell slot a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus.

Strength of the Over-Prepared

Beginning at 10th level, you can add your Intelligence modifier to the damage roll of any over-prepared spell or cantrip you cast. You can do so a number of times up to your proficiency bonus per long rest, but only once per damage roll.

Unavoidable Over-Preparedness

Starting at 10th level, your damaging over-prepared cantrips or spells affect even those that believe they've avoided them. When an attack roll of an over-prepared spell or cantrip misses, those who would have been affected, take half of the damage they would've originally received.

Truely Prepared

Starting at 14th level, you may now only over-prepare 2 cantrips of your choosing in addition to 4 spells of any level, up to 3rd level. You may not over-prepare more than one 3rd level spell at a time.
