Base Class: Druid
Druids within the Circle of the Storm know that the skies watch over the lands beneath, protecting and preserving nature. These druids reach towards the heavens to harness the power that watches over all life.
Circle Spells
Your attunement to the skies has given you some agency over the air around you. At 2nd level, you gain access to the Feather Fall spell.
At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Circle of Spores Spells table. Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.
| Druid Level | Spell |
|---|---|
| 2 | Feather Fall, Thunderous Smite, Levitate |
| 3 | Warding Wind, Shatter, Skywrite |
| 5 | Fly, Thunder Step |
| 7 | Storm Sphere |
| 9 | Destructive Wave |
Heavenly Zephyr
Starting at the 3rd level, you may call a wind from the skies to protect you or an ally for one turn. On the target's next turn, their movement speed is increased by 10 feet and they may roll a hit die, adding your Wisdom modifier to the roll. You may use this once per long rest and you must be outdoors to use it.
At 12th level, if the character protected by Heavenly Zephyr would drop below 1 hit point, instead the character is left with 1 hit point and Heavenly Zephyr is expended.
Friend of the Skies
Starting at the 6th level, you can use Wild Shape to assume the shape of a beast with a flying speed. While in a beast shape, you may cast druid cantrips.
While in your normal form, as a bonus action, you may produce feathers along your body. These feathers grant you a bonus 5ft flying speed while you are using an ability or spell that grants you a flying speed.
Welkin Rejuvenation
You may gaze up into the skies for two hours in deep meditation, gaining all the benefits of a long rest. Maintaining the meditation for four hours will grant you one use of Welkin Rejuvenation. You must be outdoors with a clear view of the sky to take advantage of this.
Welkin Rejuvenation: You may use this as a reaction to reroll one check that you have failed. You must use the result of Welkin Rejuvenation. You may not have more than one use of Welkin Rejuvenation.
Empyrean Protector
Once per long rest, you may summon a large storm cloud that can have a variety of effects. After the time limit is expended or at will, the cloud will dissipate over the course of 5 minutes.
- Summon a low dark cloud for up to one hour that covers an area of up to 100ft x 100 ft. The area inside the cloud is considered lightly obscured. Light sources that grant bright light instead grant dim light and dim light sources do not grant any light while inside the cloud. As an action, you may move the cloud up to half your movement speed or reshape it. The cloud must maintain a generally cloud-like shape.
- Summon a storm cloud in the sky for up to one hour that covers an area of up to one mile. This cloud blocks out the sun, causing it to cast dim light on the area beneath the cloud. At will you may cause it to rumble or to fire a lightning bolt to an area within the cloud. The cloud can produce light precipitation. While the cloud is under your control, you may cast Call Lightning up to three times, even if you have not learned the spell and you do not need to concentrate to cast it.
- Summon a dense fog on the ground that covers a number of miles equal to your Wisdom modifier and lasts for a number of hours equal to your Druid level. The fog is considered lightly obscured to all creatures except yourself or creatures that are not affected by lightly obscured vision. You can detect other creatures in the fog with you up to 30 feet away, but you cannot see them if they are obscured by anything other than the fog. As a bonus action, you may illuminate the fog slightly to give it a subtle glow.
