Druid
Base Class: Druid

The haunched over man in under the aqueduct arch, feeding the rats. An old lady that collects insects in jars in her house. The small child that has befriended the flock of ravens outside her house, or the lovely youth whos singing brings the songbirds out in force. All these have been kissed by the very magnetism of nature in some way, be it song, mannerism or in another way entirely.

Those that dive further into this magnetism and way of small creatures are the members of the Circle of Swarms, a circle of druids that specialize in communicating with small animals more so than they do with other plants and larger beasts, focusing more on bringing together vast numbers of small creatures.

Circle Spells

When you choose this subclass at 2nd level, you learn the cantrip Infestation. This cantrip doesn't count against the number of cantrips you can know. If you already know Infestation you can instead choose another cantrip from the Druid list.

At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Circle of Swarms Spells table. Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Conjure Familiar

As your bond with your swarm grows, you gain the service of a familiar of your chosen type.

This functions exactly like the Find Familiar spell, but the summoned creature counts as a beast instead of a celestial, fey or fiend.

You can cast this spell once each long rest without consuming a spell slot.

Swarmshape

As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape feature to take on a Swarm form, rather than transforming into a beast.

While in Swarmshape, you take on the shape and form of a swarm that is of medium size or smaller, that is either a Beast, Monstrosity or Aberration that you have seen before. You gain the physical stats of the swarm you shape into, while retaining you own skills and mental stats.

Unlike a regular swarm, you can regain health and gain temporary hitpoints while in this form.

Infested Life

As your swarm and you grow into a stronger symbiosis, your lifeform and the swarms grow closer, allowing you to bolster yourself against harm.

Whenever a creature you've harmed dies within 30ft of you, you can use your reaction to gain temporary hit points equal to 2 times your level. You can do so an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all uses after you finish a long rest.

Flash of Movement

In a torrent of wings and limbs, you step out of harms way just as an attack hit.

Whenever you're targeted with an attack, or find yourself within the radius of an Area of Effect, you may, as a reaction, teleport up to 15 feet to avoid harm. If the attack was directly targeted against you, the attacker may choose new targets for their attack if you move out of their line of sight or range.

You can use this ability an amount of times equal to your Wisdom modifier, minimum 1, and you regain all uses as you finish a long rest.

Wild Summoning

Your connection to the swarm is so strong that you can split apart a piece of yourself, summoning a swarm with the use of your Wildshape ability. Instead of taking up the shape yourself, you now control another swarm as if you had wildshaped, but you add your proficiency bonus to its Hitpoints, AC, saves, skills and attacks.

You mentally command the swarm as a bonus action, but it does not require concentration, allowing you to command both a Wild Summoned swarm in addition to a summoned creature.

While the swarm is summoned, you cannot wildshape into another being unless you unsummon the swarm.

Formless Shape

Your body and symbiosis with the swarm is now complete, and you can rearrange portions of your body to avoid harm to yourself.

You can't be Blinded or Poisoned, and you're immune to critical hits unless you're incapacitated. In addition, you gain Resistance to Slashing, Piercing and Bludgeoning damage.
