Base Class: Rogue
By avoiding the crowd and the visible places, you have learnt how to use liminal spaces to your advantage. A shadow below a wardrobe, under your bed or at a cross of some street are useful for you to hide, have conversations that won’t be heard …
Though this archetype is heavily related to the Feywild, since it is the place where liminal spaces are mostly used, any campaign could have a use for it.
Shadow Bender
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you learn how to create liminal spaces, and how to enter in those. Whenever you enter a space in dim light, you can choose it to conjure a liminal space, for others that may come into it, they will see a space of magical shadow that unveils as they progress inside it, though always remaining as a pure darkness space. For you this space let’s you see what is around magically, though it also appears as a space of pure darkness. In your liminal space, you gain an advantage to every Stealth (Dexterity) check you do, and can emit sounds without being heard outside of the space. You can only have one liminal space at a time, though you can have one more at level 6 (2) and another at level 10 (3).
Liminal Eye
You have learned how to see through dark by embracing it. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray as everyone do, other than you in your liminal space.
Moving Shadow
You learned how to move your liminal space while you are in it. Whenever you use your movement, you can choose to move in your liminal space and don’t come out of it. When you do so, you are considered as hidden from your opponents if they don’t succeed a DC 8 + Stealth (Dexterity) modifier Perception (Wisdom) check until you make an attack on any of them. If you move out of the melee range using this feat, you don’t provoke an attack of opportunity. You can use this feat a number of time equal your proficiency bonus.
Enclosing Shadow
You gain the ability to force someone to enter in a liminal space you created. Whenever a creature you can see is within 30 feet of a liminal space, as an action, you can make a lingering shadow eat your foe. The two of you are enclosed in a liminal space, as described in the Shadow Bender feature, though you can choose to lose your concentration at any time you want, but you have to maintain it if you want to maintain this space. In this space, you can hide one time per turn, and you land a critical hit on a 19 or a 20. Every turn, the opponent may try to see through the veil by succeeding a Perception (Wisdom) check DC 8 + Stealth (Dexterity) modifier. For everyone around it appears that the shadow made the two opponents disappear.
You can use this feature only one time, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Twin Shadow
You learned how to make a liminal space more harmful. Whenever you use the Sneak Attack feature hidden in a liminal space, you may deal damage to another creature within your sight half the amount of dice that the Sneak Attack feature do, but as necrotic damages.
