Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of this college are skilled in boosting the morale of their allies, they are iron willed individuals who don't lose focus, determinate leaders who command their partners in battle with clever tactics and yet can handle their own as slippery and cunning commanders. Bards of this college are often found in leadership roles, as captains or pilots of their own ship, acting as the representative of their party when it comes to negotiations, and coordinating tactics in the battlefield.

Commanding Presence

When you join the College of Leadership at 3rd level, you have advantage on Charisma ability checks made to rally creatures as allies and inspire those around you into battle and coordination, as well as to strike fear in the heart of enemies against your party.

Bardic Order

Also at 3rd level, you learn how to lace your words with enchantment magic to command your allies. As a bonus action, choose a friendly creature who can see or hear you. The creature can immediately do one of the following (no action required).

  • Attack. The creature makes one weapon attack.
  • Fall Back. The creature uses the Disengage action.
  • Move. The creature moves up to its movement.
  • Take Cover. The creature moves up to half its movement then uses the Hide action.
  • Use an Object. The creature moves up to half its movement then uses the Use an Object action.

You can use this feature once, regaining the ability to use it again when you finish a short or long rest, or if you expend two uses of your Bardic Inspiration to use it again.

Fight As One

At 6th level, you learn to tap into the connection in between your allies to make everyone more powerful. As an action, choose any number of allies within 20 feet of you. They gain temporary hit points equal to your Bard level + one roll of your Bardic Inspiration die.

Additionally, for the next minute, the chosen creatures gain a +1 to their AC, and a bonus to their saving throws equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded up). The effects end for a particular creature if they are ever more than 20 feet away from any of the other affected creatures, or if you are incapacitated. You can use this feature once, gaining the ability to use it again when you finish a short or long rest.

Improved Bardic Order

Starting at 14th level, you become a legendary leader, fabled for the ages to come. You can now use your Bardic Order feature twice between rests, instead of once, and you may use it again by expending two uses of your Bardic Inspiration.

Additionally, when you use your Bardic Order feature, you can direct the creature to do one of the following:

  • Attack. The creature makes up to two weapon attacks.
  • Cast a Spell. The creature casts a spell of 2nd level or lower.
  • Fall Back. The creature uses the Disengage action then moves up to half its movement.
  • Help. The creature moves up to half its movement then uses the Help action.
  • Take Cover. The creature moves up to half its movement then uses the Hide action.
  • Search. The creature moves up to half its movement then uses the Search action.
  • Use an Object. The creature moves up to half its movement then uses the Use an Object action.
  • Move. The creature moves up to a number of feet equal to 10 feet + its movement.
