Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Rather than a god, extraplanar entity, or traditional "patron", you gain your power from something simpler. You gain your power from the same people you represent. Your constituents, voters, and donors choose to lend you power through support. You help them, they help you.

Expanded Spell List

The Politician lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Quid Pro Quo

Starting at 1st level, you learn how to help others that help you. When another friendly creature is within 5 feet of you and you can both see eachother, you each gain +1 to your AC. You can affect a number of creatures within range equal to your Charisma modifier, and you can only gain a maximum bonus to your AC equal to your Charisma modifier. If there are more creatures that you can affect within range, you choose which creatures are effected. You can switch which creatures are effected whenever a creature enters or leaves the range (no action required).

Lobby for Support

Starting at 6th level, you can call on your supporters to lend you aid. As a bonus action, you can call on the help of a creature within 30 feet of you that can see or hear you. That creature may choose to use their reaction to give you advantage on your next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw.

If the target is a creature that is neither friendly nor hostile to your or your allies, the DM may choose to have you roll a Charisma (Persuasion) check contested by that creature's Wisdom (Insight) check. On a success, that creature agrees to help you if it does not present an immediate danger to them.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, and regain all expended uses at the end of a long rest.

Body Guard

Starting at 10th level, the devotion of your followers and allies has reached such a fervent vigor that they may choose to put their own lives on the line to protect you. Whenever you would be hit by an attack, a creature within 5 feet of you that can see you may choose to use their reaction to step in the way of the attack. If they do, they become the new target of that attack, potentially causing that attack to miss if it doesn't hit that creature's armor class. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

Once a creature chooses to protect you this way, they can not do so again until they finish a short or long rest.

Spoils System

Starting at 14th level, you and each other creature effected by your Quid Pro Quo feature gain a bonus to all saving throws equal to the bonus to their AC that they receive from that feature.
