Monk
Base Class: Monk

For centuries, Monks have watched nature in an attempt to unlock fight styles and better harmonize with the world around us.  Scattered throughout the realm are famous temples dedicated to these forms.  However, not all of the temples wish to be known.  Some prefer to be shrouded in darkness, or use their talents for less savory practices.  The Poison Clan are one such group, who teach their students how to assassinate targets via the Five Venom styles.   Monks of the Way of the Five Venoms are specialists in different types of hand-to-hand combat meant to either be a bulwark for other Poison Clan member, or quickly dispatch a mark.

As a member of the Poison Clan, you will learn each of the styles as you progress through the clan's ranks.  You will first learn the Way of the Tiger Beetle, a fast-moving style.  The next style is that of the Viper, a style specialized in rapid strikes that target ki points within the body.  Monitor style is learned in conjunction with Viper style to help students overcome normally difficult or impassible terrain.  One of the most dreaded style is that of the Deathstalker, who specialized in paralyzing and lethal blows.  Finally, Ouroborus style is the defensive master, able to shrug off blows that would fell other fighters.

Way of the Tiger Beetle

When learning the Centipede style, the student gains the speed of the multi-legged Cicindela, increasing their walking speed by 10 ft.

Way of the Viper

When using Flurry of Blows, when you hit with at least one of your attacks, you may add additional Poison damage equal to your Martial Arts dice.

Way of the Deathstalker

Designed after the fearsome Deathstalker scorpion, (Leiurus Quinquestriatus), students learn to attack with deadly purpose.  Your Martial Arts attacks can be delivered to both Paralyse and Kill your opponent when spending 2 ki points. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 2 ki points to perform Deathstalker Strikes.  Each hit that you want to add Deathstalker Strikes to costs 2 ki points.  When you use this action, the creature must make a Constitution saving throw. If it fails, it takes 10d10 necrotic damage and is Paralyzed. If it succeeds, it takes 5d10 necrotic damage, but is not Paralyzed.

Way of the Monitor

Your mastery of the Way of the Monitor has given you the ability to climb walls, similar to that of their water monitor (Varanus salvator) namesake.  While climbing, you can attack and move normally.  The number of uses is 1 + DEX bonus per Long Rest.

Way of the Ouroborus

The defenses of the Ouroborus (Armadillo girdled lizard) are legendary.  You are resistant to all non-magical Bludgeoning, Slashing, and Piercing damage.  Spending 1 ki point allows you to upgrade the resistance to immunity for 1 round + WIS bonus.  This ability automatically ends if you are incapacitated.
