Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Your magic is the product of cryomancy, a blessing from a god of winter or perhaps a frost giant's curse. Whatever the details, your soul is bound to ice and snow. You wield frigid magic, able to freeze entire battlefields and conjure blizzards at will.

Frozen Heart Spells

1st-level Frozen Heart feature

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Frozen Heart Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

5th Sleet Storm, Wall of Water
7th Ice Storm, Elemental Bane
9th Cone of Cold, Control Winds

Icy Flesh

At 1st level, your body is perpetually covered in a fine layer of frost and icicles. You gain resistance to cold damage and can ignore difficult terrain caused by snow, ice or tundra. Additionally, when you are not wearing armor, your AC equals 10 + your Constitution modifier.

Frostbite

Starting at 6th level, the cold within your heart deepens. You gain the following benefits:

Freezing Touch. Whenever you cast a cantrip that deals cold damage, you can deal extra damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1).

Winter Blast. Any time that you cast a spell of 1st level or higher that deals cold damage, you can expend 2 sorcery points to force any creatures that were affected by the spell to make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, the creature is stunned until the end of its next turn.

Biting Chill. When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher that deals fire, lightning, thunder, acid or poison damage, you can expend 1 sorcery point to change the damage type to cold damage.

Elemental Control

Also at 1st level, you learn the shape water cantrip, which does not count against the number of cantrips you know.

Frozen Body

At 6th level, your permanent encasement in frost has altered your body. For every 10 years that pass, your body ages only 1 year, and you are immune to being magically aged. Additionally, when you are not wearing armor, your AC is now 13 + your Constitution modifier.

Absolute Zero

At 14th level, your bitter cold strikes even the toughest of enemies. Cold damage dealt by your spells or other class features ignore resistance.

Living Blizzard

Starting at 18th level, you have unlocked your true potential. As a bonus action, you can expend 6 sorcery points to unleash the blizzard within. The transformation lasts for 1 minute or until you are killed. For the duration, you have the following benefits:

  • You project an aura of bitter cold in a 15 foot radius, which freezes everything around you. Any solid surface within the aura counts as difficult terrain.
  • You can choose any number of creatures to be unaffected by this terrain. Any creature of your choice that enters your aura for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there takes cold damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
  • You have immunity to cold damage. Cold damage dealt by your spells treats immunity to cold damage as resistance to cold damage. Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you complete a long rest.
