Base Class: Fighter

Athletes can come in a wide range of forms, from gladiators to circus performers. What unites them is a thirst for glory and a physique above and beyond that of the average person. For all intents and purposes, these warriors have reached the peak of athleticism.

Superior Athlete

Beginning when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you’ve become a natural and incredible athlete. You gain proficiency in the Strength (Athletics) skill. In addition, climbing, swimming and crawling no longer costs you extra movement. Finally, you can attempt to grapple a creature or take the Dash action as a bonus action.

Charging Strike

Also at 3rd level, you’ve learnt how to use momentum to empower your attacks. When you move at least 20 feet in a straight line before hitting a creature with a melee attack, you can either choose to roll 1d8 and add the result to the attack's damage, or gain advantage on the attack roll.

The damage increases to 2d8 at 11th level.

Peak of Fitness

At 7th level, your athleticism and physique have reached superhuman levels. Whenever you make a Strength (Athletics) check, you can treat a roll of 9 or lower as a 10. In addition, you are immune to disease.

Juggernaut

At 10th level, your brawn makes you truly unstoppable. You add your Strength modifier to any Dexterity or Constitution saving throws you make, and have advantage on saving throws made to resist being knocked prone, grappled or restrained.

Champion's Stamina

At 15th level, your stamina is never-ending. Your movement speed increases by 10 feet, and you gain an additional use of your Second Wind feature. In addition, when you use your Second Wind feature, you can immediately move up to half your speed without provoking attacks of opportunity.

Insurmountable Strength

At 18th level, your raw strength has reached its apex. Your Strength score increases by 4, and your Strength score maximum is now 24.
