Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of the Guardian is a commitment to protect a charge, either self imposed or tasked by the divines. Paladins who take this oath can come in different forms whether it be a shining knight tasked by the divines to protect a high priest, or a commoner who takes the oath to help protect his village from nefarious forces. Typically these types of paladins fall onto the side of good however it is possible that the oath can be twisted to protect beings like corrupt kings or even liches. Paladins of this oath typically don't bare any markings to symbolise their oath but are instead recognised and immortalised through their deeds.
Tenets of the Guardian
The tenets of the Oath of the Guardian are simple yet ingrained in those who walk this path. This oath emphasizes the principles of protection and watching over a charge.
Shield the weak. Your goal is to protect those who struggle or cant protect themselves, to provide shelter against the withering storm of cruelty that can plague the world.
Burn the rot. There are those who would use their strength to abuse and cow those they believe to be lesser, remove the corrupt and the cruel.
Trust in others. The world can be cruel and lonely, especially when you take a path that tests you against the evils of the world. This is why it is key to form bonds with those around you whether it is the people you fight to protect or those who would fight along side you, these bonds will remind you of why you are fighting and will give you strength.
A united front. Above all else, be a pillar of hope, your deeds should bolster the will and hope of those around you and inspire them to do the same, to help their fellow man and to support each other.
