Base Class: Barbarian
Battle is your home, warrior. Jomsviking are a selective group of elite warriors, following a code of honor and glory. Admitted only after a feat of strength and prowess, a Jomsviking must follow the strict militaristic tradition of battle and brotherhood. Jomsviking draw their advantage from the unity of the group, acting in unison not only in combat but in practicality. Following their code, a Jomsviking is sworn to protoect his brethren both from physical and verbal harm. Vowing to never back down in fear of death, a lone Jomsviking would be expelled from the group and exiled. Believing that death is not just predetermined, but destined, they fearlessly fight until the very end, in hopes to soon sup with their fallen brothers.
Often tasked with roaming the countryside in search of pillage and treasure, the Jomsviking are mercenaries often caught serving a cause not their own. Whether it be for riches at the hand of a Lord, or the passion of freedom from rivaling clans, the Jomsviking put their heart and soul into the comradery between men. Where a lone fighter would be a general tactician in a multitude of different skillsets, Jomsviking tend to be more refined, learning from what each member has to offer. Jomsviking veterans are a supreme force on the battlefield, second to none, though the tools they have at their disposal in battle pales in comparison to some of the more militaristic classes.
On top of strength and fortitude, a Viking's wisdom is paramount to his understanding of not only life, but battle. A wise warrior not only knows when to fight, but when to flee; not only when to kill, but when to spare. Honor has no hold on those nearsighted with brutish violence, but purchases itself among those who are willing to see it.
Outside of the warfront, Jomsviking are known to be fabled in nature, frequently singing sagas of great legends. These tales are meant to inspire and raise moral for the horde, praising great victories and enemies alike. Warhorns and mead tend to accompany these epics, creating a jubilous tradition passed from warrior to warrior.
