Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Jesters find elation where others would find bitterness. There is humor to be found in the bleakest of circumstances, and jesters harness this humor with bright theatrics and a sharp tongue to invigorate their allies and demoralize their foes. These bards often enjoy employment in the courts of nobility and royalty, where their implacable wit is used to entertain their patrons and deliver any scathing words too sharp to be spoken by the rest of the court.

(Full credit of this goes to u/nomiddlename303 on reddit, I just translated the class into Beyond to be able to use it in my own games and for others to use on this website)

Bonus Cantrip

You gain the Vicious Mockery Cantrip, which doesn't count against the number of Bard cantrips you know. If you already know it, you instead gain another bard cantrip of your choice.

When you cast Vicious Mockery, you can roll d6s instead of d4s for the spells damage.

Fool's Mockery

You are quick to capitalize on your foes' failures, mocking their misfortune and invigorating your allies. When a creature you can see within 60 feet fails an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw, you can expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration as a reaction and mock it relentlessly for its failure. Choose one of the following effects:

  • If the target can hear you, it takes psychic damage equal to two rolls of your Bardic Inspiration die. A creature doesn't take this damage if its immune to being charmed.
  • Choose a creature within 30 feet of the target that can both see and hear you; that creature gains a Bardic Inspiration die

Derisive Incantation

Whenever you cast a spell with a verbal component that forces a creature to make a saving throw, you can lace the spells verbal component with distracting and deriding words. If a creature fails its first saving throw against the spell and is able to hear you, it has disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls until the start of your next turn.

Reversal of Fate

You can rouse luck itself to smile upon you and frown upon your foes. As a reaction, after you or a creature you can see within 60 feet makes an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw, you can flip the d20 upside down, or both d20s if the roll was made with advantage or disadvantage. You make this decision after you see whether the roll succeeds or fails.

If this turns a creature's success into a failure, you can use your Fool's Mockery on that creature as part of the same reaction without expending a use of Bardic Inspiration. You can choose both effects when using Fool's Mockery in this way. Once you turn a success into a failure or vice versa with this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
