Base Class: Barbarian
Those who follow the Path of the Mystic are incredibly rare, and most prefer to keep the nature of their abilities secret. Using their inner, psychic strength, they can read minds, manipulate others, and seize control of the physical world to bend it to their will.
Followers of this path often end up as tribal leaders where they use their powers, either overtly or covertly, to ensure the best for their people.
Spellcasting
Spellcasting (Psionics)
When you reach 3rd level, you can augment your physical prowess with the use of psionics. Psionics are a special form of magic, distinct from spellcasting, they do not require verbal or somatic components, and do not require material components, unless they are consumed by the spell. In addition they are not constrained by the Barbarians Rage ability, and can be cast whilst raging.
Psionic Cantrips
You learn two psionic cantrips of your choice. You learn an additional psionic cantrip of your choice at 10th level. Each of these cantrips must be a divination or enchantment cantrip from the bard spell list.
Psionic Spell Slots
The Path of the Mystic Psionics table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your psionic spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spells level or higher. You regain all expended slots when you finish a long rest.
For example, if you know the 1st-level psionic spell charm person and have a 1st-level and a 2nd level slot available, you can cast charm person using either slot.
Psionic Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher
You know three 1st-level psionic spells of your choice, which you must choose from the divination and enchantment spells on the bard spell list.
The Psionic Spells Known column of the Path of the Mystic Psionics table shows when you learn more psionic spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these psionic spells must be a divination or enchantment spell from the bard spell list, and must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new psionic spell of 1st or 2nd level.
Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the psionic spells you know with another psionic spell of your choice from the bard spell list. The new psionic spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and it must be from the divination or enchantment schools of magic.
Psionic Spellcasting Ability
Intelligence is your ability for your psionic spellcasting. You use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a psionic spell, or when making an attack roll with one.
Psionic save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier
Psionic attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier

Telekinesis
Also at 3rd level, you learn to move things with your mind. You learn mage hand as a psionic cantrip and you can make the spectral hand invisible.
Telepathy
In addition at 3rd level, your mind awakens to the ability to communicate via telepathy. You learn message as a psionic cantrip and you do not need to whisper your message for it to be heard.
Potent Psionics
Beginning at 6th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon attacks with psychic energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon, you can deal an extra 1d8 psychic damage to that target.
In addition, you add your Intelligence modifier to any damage roll you make for a psionic cantrip.
Consumptive Power
Beginning at 10th level, you gain the ability to sacrifice your physical durability in exchange for psionic power. When casting a psionic spell, you can cast it by sacrificing your hit points, instead of using a spell slot. Your current hit points and hit point maximum are both reduced by ten times the spell's level. This reduction can’t be lessened in any way, and the reduction to your hit point maximum lasts until you finish a long rest.
Psionic Body
Starting at 14th level, your mastery of psionic power causes your mind to transcend the body. Your physical form is infused with psionic energy. You gain the following benefits:
- You gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks.
- You age at a slower rate. For every 10 years that pass, your body ages only 1 year.
