Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Omnicasters strive to have a spell ready for any situation that may arise. Even the diversity of spells that a wizard normally has access to is not sufficient for them; they cannot risk entering a confrontation unprepared.

Written Cantrips

2nd-level Omnicaster feature

Instead of innately knowing your wizard cantrips, you record them in your spell book like any other leveled spell. Whenever you learn cantrips from the wizard table, they get added to your spell book for free. If you find knowledge about a cantrip (from a cantrip spell scroll for example) you can copy it down in your spell book in 1 hour and at the cost of 25 gp. Transcribing this from your own spell book into another book also takes an hour but only costs 5 gp. At the end of a long rest, you choose a number of cantrips you have in your spell book equal to the number on the cantrips known column of the Wizard Table. You can cast these cantrips as normal until the end of your next long rest, where you can again choose the cantrips you wish to have access to.

Sudden Preparation

2nd-level Omnicaster feature

You can quickly prepare a spell in response to a situation you may not have anticipated.

You can prepare a spell you know, replacing one of your currently prepared spells at will. If the spell you prepare has a casting time of 1 reaction, you can also cast it on the same turn you used this feature on. This can also be used to replace a cantrip with one of the cantrips recorded in your spell book, as described in the Written Cantrips feature.

If you have no uses of this feature left, you can expend a spell slot of any level to replace one of your currently known cantrips with one written in your spell book.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded down), and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Arcane Replication

6th-level Omnicaster feature

You can infuse a spell book with the ability to record spells that ordinary spell books could not. Choose a spell book in your possession when you gain this feature, and choose a spell list from another class. That spell book can now record spells from that spell list, which can be added using the normal rules for copying spell into books, as well as the rules for recording cantrips as described in the Written Cantrips feature. Whenever you learn spells from gaining a wizard level, you can choose to add spells from the chosen spell list into this book at no cost. These spells count as wizard spells for you, and use your wizard spellcasting modifier.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can choose to use this feature again on either another book, or the same book.

Using this feature on another book ends its effects on the previous book. If you use this feature on another book and choose the same spell list, you can transfer over the spells from the previous book it affected at no cost. If you use this feature again on the same book or another book and choose a different spell list, it only transfers spells that are in both lists. Spells not in both lists are lost. If this causes you to lose spells you learned from gaining wizard levels, you can choose to replace them at the same time you use this feature.

Flurry of Cantrips

10th-level Omnicaster feature

When you cast a cantrip that Targets only one creature, you can choose to target a number of additional creatures in range equal to half your proficiency bonus. You can also decide to expend a spell slot instead of a use of this feature, targeting a number of additional creatures equal to the spell slot's level.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to half of your proficiency bonus (rounded down), and regain all expended uses after a long rest.

Spell Mimicry

14th-level Omnicaster feature

Whenever you see a spell being cast within 60 feet, on your next turn you can expend a spell slot of the same level as the spell you saw, and cast the same spell. For the next 24 hours, you are able to learn the spell by recording it in your notebook using the normal rules for copying a spell. If your spell book cannot record spells of the appropriate class list, you cannot use this feature to learn the spell.

You can use this feature once per long rest.
