Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Long ago, in a distant land, there was a great barbarian chief from the savage tribes of the windswept steppes. He rose up and united his people, and drove them forth to conquer the civilized lands. Some say he did this through influence from the Shadowfell, and he commanded great powers of shadow that he used in his bloody path of conquest. Others claim that he forged a pact with Asmodeus, ruler of the Nine Hells, and he called forth armies of fiends to overrun his foes. His enemies called him the Umbral Chief, and his legions of shadow-touched barbarians were ruthless and without mercy.

Fury of Shadows

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can channel fiendish fury into your weapon strikes. While you’re raging, the first creature you hit on each of your turns with a weapon attack takes extra damage equal to 1d6 + half your barbarian level. The extra damage is necrotic.

Fiendish Focus

Starting at 6th level, the fiendish power that fuels your rage can protect you. If you fail a saving throw while you’re raging, you can reroll it, and you must use the new roll. You can use this ability only once per rage.

Leader of Legions

At 10th level, you learn to channel hellish power to inspire battle fury in others. As a bonus action, you unleash a battle cry infused with fiendish energy. Up to ten other creatures of your choice within 60 feet of you that can hear you gain advantage on attack rolls and saving throws until the start of your next turn.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Warrior of the Nine Hells

At 14th level, your soul is marked for endless battle. While you are raging, you cannot be reduced below 1 hit point. All the damage that you take that would reduce you past this point accumulates, when your rage ends you take all of this accumulated damage as necrotic damage. If this damage is enough to instantly kill you, you die and any spell that would restore you to life requires 5 times as many material components to cast on you.
