Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Bruiser might not be considered monks by the general populous, despite exhibiting all the traits of one. Bruisers know how to pick their fights, and are wise enough to know the intricacies of combat. They're not tied to a single monastery, which is what makes most people question their title as a monk, but if you challenge them to a battle you'd better expect them to fight you brutally and expertly.
Powerful Blows
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your strikes deal a little more punch than your enemies might suspect. You can roll a d6 in place of the normal damage of your unarmed strike or monk weapon. This die changes as you gain monk levels, becoming a d8 at 5th level, a d10 at 11th level, and a d12 at 17th level.
Tavern Taunt
At 6th level, you refine the art of goading your enemies. As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki point to taunt a creature who can see or hear you. That creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have disadvantage on all attack rolls against creatures other than you for the next minute. If the creature is immune to the Frightened condition, they are also immune to this ability.
The saving throw DC for the effect equals 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus.
Knockdown
Beginning at 11th level, you have a special talent when it comes to knocking people off their feet. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can force them to succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If you critically hit the creature, they fail the save automatically. While knocked prone from this ability, the creature also has disadvantage on all ability checks and saving throws.
The saving throw DC for the effect equals 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus.
Ferocious Flurry
At 17th level, you can become ferociously fast when in a pinch. Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 3 ki points to make 8 unarmed strikes as a bonus action. Due to the sheer speed you're making these attacks at, you cannot use your Stunning Strike or Knockdown features on any of the attacks made using this bonus action.
