Base Class: Barbarian
Anger can come from many sources. Some barbarians love the chaos of battle, become possessed by spirits, draw their power from primordial energies, or devotion to deities. But some barbarians carry an anger towards themselves, holding onto their past and letting their experiences control every facet of their lives. The journey to be better is a difficult one, as it is easy to fall back into the comfort of all one ever knew.
Barbarians of the Path of Atonement push forward despite the pain, the hurt, and the fear. They delve deep into their own minds and may surround themselves with others to best learn and grow. These barbarians know the path to healing is a difficult one, but the strength it takes to do so can prevent the mistakes of the past from happening again.

Old Habits
3rd-level Path of Atonement feature
The past has ways of showing up unexpectedly, and sometimes it’s hard to escape- your rage becomes that of your less enlightened self. When you enter your rage, you can infuse one weapon of your choice that you are holding. While you wield the infused weapon during your rage, the weapon gains the thrown property, with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. If you throw the weapon, it reappears in your hand the instant after it hits or misses a target. You cannot be disarmed of this weapon unless you are incapacitated.
You can also add your rage damage bonus to attacks made with thrown weapons.
Additionally, you learn two 1st level spells from the cleric, druid, or ranger spell list. You can cast these spells without expending a spell slot. Once you cast the spell in this way, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast this spell using spell slots you have. The spell's spellcasting ability is Wisdom.
Quiet Wisdom
3rd-level Path of Atonement feature
Your time spent inward grants you improved awareness. You gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Animal Handling, Insight, Medicine, Perception, or Survival.
Additionally, you gain a bonus to the chosen skill proficiency equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum +1).
Animal Handling
You gain proficiency in the Animal Handling skill, and gain a bonus to it equal to your Constitution modifier.
Insight
You gain proficiency in the Insight skill, and gain a bonus to it equal to your Constitution modifier.
Medicine
You gain proficiency in the Medicine skill, and gain a bonus to it equal to your Constitution modifier.
Perception
You gain proficiency in the Perception skill, and gain a bonus to it equal to your Constitution modifier.
Survival
You gain proficiency in the Survival skill, and gain a bonus to it equal to your Constitution modifier.
Multifaceted Rage
6th-level Path of Atonement feature
Your rage can take on unique forms that are more adaptable for your needs. When you enter your rage, you gain one of the following benefits as well:
Passion. For the duration of your rage, you regain hit points equal to your Rage Damage bonus whenever you apply it, your movement speed increases by 10 feet, and you are immune to the charmed and frightened conditions.
Heroic. Immediately upon raging, you regain Hit Points equal to twice your Constitution modifier + your Barbarian level. You can expend an additional use of your rage as a bonus action to use this feature again. You can use this bonus action no more than 3 times per long rest.
Ferocious. Immediately upon raging, so long as you are not prone and your speed is greater than 0, you can move up to 10 feet and make a melee weapon attack or unarmed strike against a creature within reach. This attack deals maximum damage instead of rolling. You can expend an additional use of your rage as a bonus action to use this feature again. You can use this bonus action no more than 5 times per long rest.
Sagacious Might
10th-level Path of Atonement feature
You have spent a great deal of time holding onto the burden of your past. What you have learned and how much you have grown since then gives you proficiency with Wisdom saving throws.
Lastly, you learn two 2nd level spells from the cleric, druid, or ranger spell list. You can cast these spells without expending a spell slot. Once you cast the spell in this way, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast this spell using spell slots you have. The spell's spellcasting ability is Wisdom.
Focused Fury
14th-level Path of Atonement feature
Your physical and mental might are now in tune with each other. As part of your bonus action to enter your rage, or as a bonus action on subsequent turns while raging, you can mark a single creature within 60 feet of you. Marking a creature in this way reduces all damage they do to you by a number equal to your Wisdom modifier to a minimum of 0 damage. If the target drops to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to mark a new creature. Marking another creature removes the first mark.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier that reset on a long rest.
