Base Class: Paladin
A women in winged armor leaps into the air. Landing on their prey, they look around as if to say, who's next...
A young dragon sees a flash of light on the battle field. Flying closer to investigate, they never see the growing shadow on their back...
A man in platinum colored plate sprouts glowing, draconic wings, and begins smiting all that he can see...
The War between the gods of good and evil is not always restricted to Angels, Demons and the Undead. For the followers of Bahamut and Tiamat; they must always be aware of the draconic forces that the other deity has at their disposal.
As such, on both sides of this conflict, these deities have trained special sects of paladins in the art of the Dragoon. Usually lighter armored than most of their paladin brethren, they fight with greater mobility and range than most. Mimicking the fighting styles of dragons themselves, followers of the Oath of the Dragoon become capable of leaping great distances, bringing divine fury to bear on their foes, particularly Dragons themselves.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Defense of the Dragoon
As a bonus action, using your Channel Divinity, you flourish your weapon to increase your defense. Gain a +1 bonus to your AC, and an additional +1 to your AC for each attack that misses you, to a maximum of +5. Whenever an enemy successfully attacks you, this bonus resets to +1 This effect continues until the start of your next turn.
Focus of the Dragoon
As a bonus action, using your Channel Divinity, you can utter a vow of enmity against a creature you can see within 25 feet of you. You gain advantage on attack rolls against the creature for 1 minute or until it drops to 0 hit points or falls unconscious. Whenever you take damage, make a Concentration check. On a failed check, you lose Advantage. At 9th level, increase this range to 50 feet. At 13th level, increase this range to 75 feet. At 17th level, increase this range to 100 feet.
Flight of the Dragoon
Restriction: Must not be wearing Heavy Armor.
Beginning at 3rd level, you can channel your spell casting ability into your attacks. As part of your Attack action, you can expend a spell slot to leap to an unoccupied square you can see to attack an adjacent foe. Should the attack hit, the momentum of your leap lets you deal additional damage to your foe. Whenever you use this ability, add your Charisma modifier to the attack roll, along with any other modifiers. This ability can only be used once during your attack action.
The distance you can leap, and the additional damage you can deal, is based on the spell slot level you expend and is outlined in the table below.

Knowledge of the Dragoon
At 3rd level, as part of your Dragoon training, you learn the ability to read, speak, and understand Draconic. You also gain advantage on any intelligence based skill check (not saves) when the information pertains to dragons. Additionally, you no longer suffer fall damage when the distance falling is equal to or less then the maximum distance you can leap(i.e. if you can leap 10 feet, you can also fall 10 feet without suffering fall damage).
Faith of the Dragoon
At 7th level, you no longer provoke an Attack of Opportunity when using your Flight of the Dragoon ability.
Additionally, once per long rest, as a bonus action, you temporarily create an aura of awe when using your Flight of the Dragoon ability. Double your leap distance and add an additional 1d6 weapon damage per Paladin spell slot level used on your Flight of the Dragoon ability. Upon landing and after you have made your Flight of the Dragoon attack, you emanate an aura that grants Advantage to yourself and your allies within 10 feet of your landing until the end of your next turn.
At 18th level, your Faith of the Dragoon ability can now be used up to 3 times per day. Additionally, your advantage aura on landing extends to 30 feet.
Improved Flight of the Dragoon
At 15th level, remove the armor restriction from Flight of the Dragoon. Additionally, gain Expertise in Athletics or Acrobatics.
Might of the Dragoon
At 20th level, you gain the ability to suffuse yourself with holy might. As a bonus action, you can magically become an avatar of divine justice, gaining the following benefits for 1 minute:
- You have resistance to all damage.
- When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can deal additional damage as if using your Divine Smite ability with a level 1 spell slot. This does not consume the level one spell slot, and you can still invoke your Divine Smite ability.
- Your melee weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20.
- When rolling your damage dice, you can reroll your damage dice and use either total.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
