Base Class: Monk
All monks practice meditation, but those who follow the Way of Stillness are masters of the art. Through meditation they clear their mind of distractions and their heart from attachments, and in doing so gain near supernatural reflexes, awareness, and mastery of their own body. Those who follow the Way of Stillness are slow to act, preferring to observe so they can see the big picture. They tend to not take sides, instead serving notions such as balance or the greater good.
Meditative Focus
At level 3, you are able to focus your subconscious on a specific aspect or task through your morning meditation. After a long rest, choose one of the following benefits which lasts until your next long rest:
-Awareness: Add double your proficiency to perception checks and checks to find footprints, track, or find traps. Does not stack with proficiency or expertise.
-Readiness: You cannot be surprised and gain a +5 bonus to initiative checks.
-Heart: Add double your proficiency bonus to insight and persuasion checks. Does not stack with proficiency or expertise.
-Mind: You have advantage on saving throws against spells or effects that charm, frighten or put you to sleep.
-Body: Add double your proficiency bonus to strength checks, the amount of time you can breathe underwater is doubled and you do not need to eat or drink. You ignore the negative effects from the first point of exhaustion.
