Base Class: Sorcerer
Also know as an umbralmancer, shadow caller, or shadow caster, you have the ability to control darkness to do your bidding. While other, lesser mages might use shadowstuff to bolster illusions, you can us them directly to bind enemies and bring forth fantastical objects and creatures. And while some may assume that users of this dark magic might have a similarly dark soul, it is entirely possible to use them to further the causes of light and justice.
Shadow Sight
1st-level Shadow Weaver feature
You have darkvision with a range of 120 feet.
Shadow Spells
1st-level Shadow Weaver feature
You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Shadows Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level.

Umbral Weaving
1st-level Shadow Weaver feature
As an action, you command shadows to bind and harm a creature within 30ft of yourself for one minute. The target creature must make a dexterity save against your spell DC or take 1d6 bludgeoning damage plus your charisma modifier and become restrained. This damage counts as magical damage. At the beginning of the target's turn, it may attempt a strength check against your spell DC to break free. At the beginning of your turn, all targets restrained by this feature take 1d6 bludgeoning damage plus your charisma modifier. The target is released if the distance between you and the target exceed the range of this feature. If you take damage while using this feature, you must make a concentration check or lose grip on all targets. You can also release any and all targets without taking an action.
At 5rd level, the damage from this feature increases to 3d6 bludgeoning damage plus your charisma modifier.
At 9th level, you can target a number of creatures equal to your charisma bonus with the same action.
At 13th level, the damage from this feature increases to 5d6 bludgeoning damage plus your charisma modifier. In addition, the range increases to 60ft.
At 17th level, any creature in dim light or darkness has disadvantage on all saves made against this feature.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to one plus your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Tenebrous Summons
6th-level Shadow Weaver feature
You weave shadows into creatures or objects. You can expend a spell slot to replicate a spell with the creation or summoning tags from any spell list. This takes either an action, or how long the replicated spell takes, whichever is longer. You must also provide any material components that are consumed by the replicated spell.
Once you use this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest. You can also spend Sorcery Points to use this feature, spending two points for every spell level of the slot you use.
Protective Shadows
14th-level Shadow Weaver feature
Your shadow reacts automatically to protect you from harm. You can spend a usage of your Umbral Weaving feature to create one of the following effects:
- When you are targeted with an attack, you can use your reaction to force the attacker to have disadvantage on their attack roll.
- When you are forced to make a save, you can gain advantage on your save.
- When forced to make a death saving throw, you can spend a Umbral Weaving usage to automatically succeed one roll.
In addition, whenever you start combat without any Umbral Weaving usages remaining, you gain one usage.
Cloak of Darkness
18th-level Shadow Weaver feature
You can cloak yourself in shadows as a bonus action. For 1 minute you gain the following benefits:
- You add +4 to your AC.
- You sprout black wings, giving you a flying speed of 40ft.
- You are invisible while you are in dim light or darkness.
Once you use this cloak, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you spend 5 sorcery points to use it again.
