Base Class: Barbarian
This path is chosen by those who feel a kinship with the beasts of the wilds. They seek to develop these bonds, and gain a better understanding of the animalistic side of themselves, and the raw source of their rage.
Beast Bond
Yours is a path that seeks attunement with the natural world, giving you a kinship with beasts.
At 3rd level when you adopt this path, you gain the ability to cast the Find Familiar and Speak with Animals Spells, but only as rituals, as described in the Spellcasting section, your familiar is still a beast though.
You have an innate ability to communicate with beasts, and they recognize you as a kindred spirit. Through sounds and gestures, you can communicate simple ideas to a beast as an action, and can read its basic mood and intent. You learn its emotional state, whether it is affected by magic of any sort, its short-term needs (such as food or safety), and actions you can take (if any) to persuade it to not attack. You cannot use this ability against a creature that you have attacked within the past 10 minutes. You also gain advantage on Animal Handling checks.
Also through your time spent in the wild you form a bond with a beast., With 8 hours of work and the expenditure of 50 gp worth of rare herbs and fine food, you call forth an animal from the wilderness to serve as your faithful companion. This animal can be CR 1 and your choice effects the abilities gained at level 3 and 10 from your time spent with it. Chose from: Brown Bear, Dire Wolf, Giant Eagle, Giant Hyena, or Tiger.
The bonded beast acts on its own imitative and is controlled by you. Use the rules for a sidekick to level your beast with you.
Bestial Nature
At 3rd level your exposure to the ways of the wild has begun to pay off. You channel a trait from one of the beasts of the wild, this is determined by the beast you chose to bond:
Alpha's Prey
Watching the packs of beasts track and kill their prey teaches you ways to trick your opponent into giving openings for allies.
When you begin your rage you chose a target to be hunted, you have to be able to see the hunt target and be within 50ft. During your rage, your friends have advantage on melee attack rolls against the hunt target whilst within 5 feet of it, as long as it is hostile to you, and your melee weapon attacks deal an additional 1d6 damage against the hunt target, as long as a friend is within 5ft. You also have disadvantage to attack anything other than the hunt target whilst it remains above 0 hp.
This is chosen if you choose to bond with a Dire Wolf.
Feline Reflexes
Channelling feline dexterity allows you to make swift movements in combat. Whilst raging you can take a bonus action on each of your turns in combat. This action can be used only to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action. This is chosen if you choose to bond with a Tiger.
Keen Eye
You channel the keen eyes of a predatory bird, seeing an opening in your targets defence. Whilst Raging your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20. This is chosen if you choose to bond with a Giant Eagle.
Thick Skinned
Some beasts can withstand immense punishment, from watching this you have gained an understanding of the way you can also make yourself more resilient.
While raging, you have resistance to all damage except psychic damage. This is chosen if you choose to bond with a Brown Bear.
Unchecked Aggression
Through channelling the beasts aggression your become even more aggressive. While raging, when you reduces a creature to 0 hit points with a melee attack on your turn, you can take a bonus action to move up to half your speed and make a melee attack. This is chosen if you choose to bond with a Giant Hyena.
Savage Strikes
From 6th level, your bestial nature drives you on to feats of extreme savagery while you are enraged in battle. When you use the Attack action, you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action as long as you are raging, you can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a short rest. As well as this you may re-roll one weapon damage dice per turn as long as you are using a weapon with the heavy feature.
Savage Shout
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Brown Bear
As you unleash your battle cry the chosen creatures gain +1 Ac and 10 temporary hit points until the start of your next turn.
Dire Wolf
As you unleash your battle cry the chosen creatures gain advantage to attack rolls until the start of your next turn.
Giant Eagle
As you unleash your battle cry the chosen creatures have advantage on all ability checks until your next turn.
Giant Hyena
As you unleash your battle cry the chosen creatures may take a single attack action as a reaction.
Tiger
As you unleash your battle cry the chosen creatures may take the disengage action as a reaction to hearing your shout and move 10ft.
One with the Wilds
Starting at 14th level, when you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature.
As well as this you may cast the Guardian of Nature but only chose the Primal Beast half, you may do this a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier (minimum 1).
