Base Class: Wizard

The Arcane Pugilist is a wizard who has discovered that the power of magic is not only found in incantations and gestures, but also in the strength of one's own body. They have learned to harness their physical prowess in conjunction with their magical abilities, creating a unique style of spellcasting that combines punches, kicks, and somatic components.

Spell Strike

Beginning at 2nd level you gain proficiency in unarmed strikes using your Intelligence score as the modifier, and your unarmed strikes deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage. As an action you can cast any ranged spell attack as a melee spell attack. Additionally you can cast spells without using somatic components.

Magical Defenses

Beginning at 2nd level, while you are wearing no armor and not wielding a shield, your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Intelligence modifier.

Magic Strike

Beginning at 6th level, you gain the ability to imbue your unarmed attacks with magical energy for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. You can replace the damage type with a type that appears in a spell in your spellbook when you strike an enemy.

Extra Attack

You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. Moreover, you can cast one of your cantrips in place of one of those attacks.

Arcane Flurry

Beginning at 10th level when you take the Attack action, you can make one extra unarmed strike as a bonus action. Additionally, you can now use your bonus action to make an unarmed strike after casting a spell.

Arcane Blast

Beginning at 14th level, when you are hit by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to expend a spell slot and unleash a wave of magical energy that deals 2d12 damage per spell slot level to all targets within 15 feet of them. The damage type can be any type that appears in a spell in your spellbook.
