Druid
Base Class: Druid

These druids spent their lives learning to bond and connect to animals. They swore to protect the animals of the forest from outside influence, and do their best to maintain the natural chain of the forest. Their connection to animals gives them advanced shape changing abilities, changing forms from one day to the next, as well as powerful familiars and the ability to summon and control other beasts. Inspired by the Beast Keeping Coven from The Owl House.

Beast Familiar

Over the years, you have learned how to summon a loyal familiar, which will stay at your side loyally until it dies. You can choose any beast as your familiar as long as it has a challenge rating equal to or lower than yours. Alternatively, you could choose any beast of your choice, but give it the abilities and stat block of a creature with a challenge rating in your range. Max challenge rating 6.

Combat Bestial Forms

Rather than simply using your standard Wild Shape, through your bond with animals you gained a much more powerful version. Starting at level 3, you can use wild shape as a bonus action, and you can transform into creatures with a higher challenge rating. At level 3 you can turn into a beast with a challenge rating of 1, and at level 6 you gain the ability to turn into a creature with a third of your level.

Beast Summoning

Starting at level 6, you have learned to summon the creatures you need to you at will. They are now under your control. This allows you to summon any beast with a lower challenge rating than your class level. These will appear in an unoccupied space with a range of 20 feet. These beast become friendly to your party, and will obey any verbal commands. These will stay for one hour before disappearing back to where they came from. You can cast this once per long rest. You also gain the dominate beasts spell.

Familiar Transformation

You have further bonded with your familiar, learning to take on it’s form, despite its power. Starting from level 10, you gain your familiar as a wild shape.  When you use it, you gain its CURRENT stat block.

Ultimate Beast Tamer

You have mastered your control over animals, letting you summon extremely powerful creatures, and have total control over them. You can now summon any beast, fae, or elemental creature. These are manifested in an unoccupied space within a 50 foot range. They are completely under your control, and will obey any verbal commands you give them. These will disappear after 2 hours, and you can only cast this spell once per long rest. You can summon creatures with challenge ratings at or below your current level, max 20.

Alternatively, you could instead give your familiar the stat block of any beast, fae, or elemental you could summon with this spell instead. You can do this once a long rest as well, but if you change it, then you couldn’t use the first part of this ability.
