Bard
Base Class: Bard

For every symphony there is a cacophony, for every success there is a failure, and for every life there is a death. The College of Dissonance focuses on the reduction of abilities and nearly guaranteeing failure for opponents. Bards of the College of Dissonance know the secrets of embarrassment and shame, and do what they can to inflict these feelings upon others by making them inadequate at skills they were previously skilled at.

Thunderous Cacophony

When you join the College of Dissonance at 3rd level, you may choose to augment the damage any of your spells do to instead deal thunder damage.

Words of Dissonance

Also at 3rd level, you've developed your cacophony to disrupt the concentration of other creatures. When a creature you can see within 80 ft. makes an attack roll, ability check, or damage roll, as a reaction you can expend one use of Bardic Inspiration, roll the die and add your proficiency bonus, and subtract the number from the creature's roll. You can choose to use this feature after the creature makes its roll, but before the DM determines whether the attack roll or ability check succeeds or fails, or before the creature deals its damage. The creature is immune if it can’t hear you. This feature may also be used on a spellcaster maintaining concentration on a spell, if it is use a bardic inspiration dice, that spellcaster must succeed a Wisdom saving throw against the bards Spell Save DC or lose concentration on that spell.

Disruptive Symphony

At 6th level as a bonus action you may choose a creature within 80ft. Whenever that creature would fail a Saving Throw, Ability Check, or an Attack as a result of one of your spells or features, the next attack made against that creature has advantage. You may choose a new creature to apply this to at any time, but the number of creatures affected may only be one. A creature that cannot hear is immune to this effect.

Aura of Ruin

At 14th level, you learn to infuse your very presence with your magic of ruin that destroys the confidence and strong façade of your enemies.

As an action you can release your destructive aura. Any creature of your choice within 15ft of you suffers from the following effects:

  • They must make a charisma saving throw when they enter this aura for the first time, and each time they start their turn in this aura.
  • Should an affected creature gain advantage on an attack, they must roll a charisma saving throw, on a failure they don't gain advantage.
  • Should an affected creature make an opportunity attack they must roll a charisma saving throw, on a failure, they miss.
  • Should an affected creature end their turn in this aura, they must roll a charisma saving throw, on a failure, they have disadvantage on the next attack they make.
  • Should an affected creature be attacked, if the attacker has advantage on the attack, the affected creatures AC is reduced by a number equal to 1/4 your bard level rounded down for that attack.

Treat this feature as though it is a spell you are concentrating on. You cannot maintain concentration on another spell while using this feature. Should you take damage while maintaining concentration on this feature, roll a concentration saving throw.

You may use this feature a number of times per day equal to your charisma modifier.
