Monk
Base Class: Monk

Due to the respect and appreciation of the earth and all of its bounty, your particular order of monks have chosen to form and intimate bond with earth and stone. Through intense study and training, you have learned how to resonate with the vibrations of the ground. This focus has allowed you to grow in your understanding of the mountains and lands that shape them. You have gained new abilities and spells that compliment this understanding.

Earthshaper

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain access to spells that shape the earth and deal additional damage with your unarmed attacks.

You are able to cast Mold Earth and Magic Stone at the cost of 1 Ki point and Earth Tremor at the cost of 2 Ki points.

You may also move across difficult terrain without expending extra movement if you are using your walking speed on the ground or floor.

Your bond with the earth encases your fists in stone when you perform an unarmed strike, which allow you to deal an additional 1d4 bludgeoning damage that increases with your Martial Arts die, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table.

Stone Sage

At the 6th level, you gain access to more earth based spells, which you can cast without the need for material components. You can now cast Earthbind and Maximilian's Earthen Grasp for 3 Ki points, and Erupting Earth for 4 Ki points.

You also gain advantage on History, Nature, and Investigation checks when you attempt to learn about earthen based locations or natural formations. Additionally, you gain proficiency in the Nature skill if you do not already have it.

In addition to your new spells, you can spend additional ki points to increase the level of an earthen spell that you cast, provided that the spell has an enhanced effect at a higher level, as Earth Tremor does. The spell’s level increases by 1 for each additional ki point you spend. For example, if you are a 6th-level monk and cast Earth Tremor you can spend 3 ki points to cast it as a 2nd-level spell (the discipline’s base cost of 2 ki points plus 1).

The maximum number of ki points you can spend to cast a spell in this way (including its base ki point cost and any additional ki points you spend to increase its level) is determined by your monk level, as shown in the Spells and Ki Points table.
