Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Your magic comes from your own being. You use a part of your soul to channel the weave, which damages it when casting greater spells. From the day every mortal is born, they have a soul of their very own, and only few can use it for the purposes of everyday spell casting.

Soul Casting

At 1st level, you are able to cast spells innately. Whenever you cast a spell beyond 4th level, or if you upcast any kind of spell, you will take damage equal to

(Slot Level x 1)d8 psychic damage.

The strain your soul takes from great amounts of the weave hurt you, and will be more painful the stronger the spell.

Soul Sacrificing

Starting at 1st level, you can sacrifice a portion of your soul to regain sorcery points.

At levels 1-3, you can take 1d4 psychic damage to regain 1 sorcery point, and take 1d6 for 2 points.

Levels 4-8, you can take 1d8 psychic damage to regain 1 sorcery point, 2d4 for 2 points, and 1d10 to regain 3 points.

Levels 9-15, you can take 3d4 psychic damage to regain 2 sorcery points, 2d8 to regain 4, and 2d10 to regain 5.

Levels 16-20, you can take 2d8 to regain 2 sorcery points, 4d4 to regain 4, 2d10 to regain 5, and 1d20 to regain 6.

This ability does not let you go beyond your maximum number of sorcery points, and you cannot use the damage of lower level sacrifices.

Soul Attunement

Starting at 6th level, you can add your charisma modifier to any evocation spell roll. If the spell has multiple rolls, you can only add the modifier to one of the rolls you choose until you cast a spell again.

Soul Skin

At 14th level, you can cover your skin in pure magic from the weave radiating from your soul.

This works for 1 minute, and will raise your AC by 5, and you regain 1d4 of health each of your turns.

This can be used once after a long rest.

Severing

Beginning at 18th level, you are able to give parts of your soul to friendly creatures, such as teammates or pets. Your max health will be lowered by 1d12 for each person that you give part of your soul to. This can't be recovered by any means other than getting your soul pieces back. You are able to give soul pieces to any number of people within 10 feet of you, and you can do this as many times as you want, but can die if max health goes to 0.

Anyone who has a piece of your soul is considered a full caster, and has :3 1st level spell slots, 1 3rd level spell slot, 1 5th level spell slot, and 1 6th level spell slot. They can use the spell slots to cast any spells you know, according to the proper slots, and can recover the spell slots after a long rest.

You do not need to retrieve the soul pieces, but will not be able to restore lost health without the pieces given.
