Monk
Base Class: Monk

These incredible monks train in body hardening techniques that makes them able to absorb far more punishment than most other monks, or indeed more than almost the most legendary of heroes. As their training progresses, they learn to also harden their strikes, making them capable of hitting much harder with their "Iron Fist" techniques. These monks spend most of their training time in such amazing meditations as remaining upright on one foot under a rushing waterfall for hours at a time, hardening their bodies by striking trees and rocks, and getting repeatedly hit with hard canes to endure the skin and muscle hardening and tough tissue development that their Way teaches. When they emerge from this training, they can resist most harms, break their enemies' weapons on their skin, deny almost any conditions or afflictions on their body and mind, and survive nearly anything.

Iron Body Style

At 3rd level when you choose this Way, you are trained in defensive techniques and body hardening methods that make you much harder to hurt or kill. When you use you Patient Defense option of your Ki feature, you gain resistance to all damage except psychic damage for as long as you retain the benefit of the dodge action.

Additionally, you add 3 hit points to your hit point maximum, and whenever you gain a level in this class you gain 1 additional hit point to your maximum.

Iron Hand Defense

6th-level Way if The Iron Body feature

At 6th level, you learn to deflect incoming blows skillfully every few seconds to dramatically reduce the incoming harm you might receive. You also learn to strike with your "iron hands." Whenever you are hit by an attack roll you may spend 1 ki and use your reaction to reduce the amount of damage by an amount equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die. You may only spend 1 ki point this way for one instance of damage dealt until level 11, when you may spend 2 ki this way, and at level 17 you may spend 3 ki this way.

Additionally, when you hit a creature with an unarmed attack, you add your proficiency bonus to the damage you deal once per turn.

Wholeness Meditation

11th-level Way of the Iron Body feature

At 11th level, you gain the ability to restore nearly any conditions afflicted upon yourself. As an action, you cast your choice of the Lesser Restoration or Greater Restoration spell targeting yourself without expending a spell slot and without any components. You may cast one of these spells on yourself this way no matter what conditions you are affected by. For example, if you are charmed or petrified you may still use an action to cast Greater Restoration on yourself this way. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells, and you may not cast either spell this way again until you finish a short or long rest.

Additionally, when you use the Patient Defense option of your Ki feature, you may spend 1 additional Ki point, and if you do you gain the benefits of the dodge action for a number of rounds equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Iron-Handed Master

17th-level Way of the Iron Body feature

At 17th level, you have attained utter mastery over your body and are nearly invincible in your might. When you deal damage with an unarmed attack, you may spend 1 ki point to improve that damage by one roll of your Martial Arts die.

Additionally, whenever you use your Iron-Hand Defense feature to reduce an amount of damage equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die, you also deal that much magical bludgeoning damage to a creature if they hit you with their own hands, feet, talons, or other appendages as part of the triggering attack.
