Monk
Base Class: Monk

The myriad paths of the martial arts converge and diverge like a river. The source of the river is simple, "what is the best way to overcome unmatched natural gifts?" The answer is infinitely complex, but one of the first points of divergence was the Way of the Beast. To train your body to the point where your instincts could work faster than any rational thought. And while many schools of martial arts ingrain some of the Beast's teachings, none can match the kind of destruction the Way of the Beast wreaks.

Beastial Body

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your ki to mimic that of the hardy beasts. When you spend a Ki point to use patient defense, you gain the following benefits

  • You gain temporary HP equal to your monk level
  • Should an enemy miss a melee attack against you, you may use your reaction to make an attack of opportunity against them

Form of the Beast

At 6th level, you have gained the ability to fight on all fours, and no longer receive penalties for moving and acting while prone.

At 11th level, melee attacks targeting you while you are prone are no longer made with advantage

Bloody Ki

Beginning at 11th level, your Ki has become more destructive, more violent. When you make a flurry of blows action, you may expend an additional 2 Ki points and cause additional force damage, equal to your martial arts die times the amount of successful melee attacks you've made this round.

Bloodrush

At 17th level, your Ki becomes a raging torrent, greater than your body can handle at times. As a bonus action, you can spend 4 ki points to activate bloodrush for 1 minute. During this state you lose access to flurry of blows and gain the following;

  • At the start of each of your turns while bloodrush is active, you gain temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus plus your constitution modifier
  • You can make 3 attacks as part of the attack action
  • Whenever you make a successful melee attack, you can add an extra d10 force, piercing, or fire damage as your Ki rampages in your body, making it burst, your bones jut out, or boil your blood.
