Base Class: Barbarian
Pain is strength, strength is power, power is freedom, freedom is life
Blood Rage
Starting at 3rd level, when you enter your rage you awaken the blood inside of you. Doing so causes the blood to pour from your body and crystallize in the form of claws, clot around your body forming a carapace, and overall increase the potency of your muscles. To enter this form, you must spend a barbarian hit die and roll it. You gain the following benefits:
- You gain Temp Hp equal to the number rolled plus your Proficiency Bonus
- Claws made out of crystallized blood grow on your hands. You can use it to make unarmed strikes, causing 2d6 + your Strength modifier slashing damage on a hit. Whenever you hit a creature with your blood claws, you regain hit points equal to the damage caused a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and you regain all expended uses on a long rest
Pain is Life
Starting at 6th level, when you enter a rage, you gain +1 to your STR score for every 10 HP below your maximum HP value; healing reduces the bonus accordingly. This can bring your STR score above 20, but not above 30.
Aura of Blood Lust
Starting at 10th level, when under the effects of Blood Rage, your presence is so terrifying that your enemies freeze in place terrified of you.
As an action on your turn, you can choose a creature within sight. The target must succeed a WIS saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your STR modifier) or be Paralyzed until the end of your next turn. If the creature succeeds on its saving throw, you can’t use this feature on that creature again for 24 hours.
Crimson Protector
At 10th level, your blood almost gains a mind of its own, protecting its body at all costs. When an attack is made against your AC and hit you can use your reaction to spend a Hit Dice. Whatever you roll on the hit dice is added to your AC until the start of your next turn. This could turn a potential hit into a miss. This ability can be used a number of times equal to your Strength Modifier, taking a long rest regains all uses of this ability.
No Pain No Gain
Starting at 14th level, your body moves on instinct allowing you to do things that you wouldn't be able to do otherwise. While under the effects of Blood Rage you gain the following features:
- If damage would bring you to 0 HP, you can take one additional turn immediately after suffering the damage, before falling unconscious.
- You are immune to any effect that would reduce your speed.
- There is no longer a limit to how many times your Blood Claws can heal you.
