Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of Invoking learn to manipulate and channel their Ki into powerful magical bursts. They are masters of tempering their lifeforce, and have turned their bodies into living weapons.

Those who follow the Way of Invoking may be battlemages or even scholarly wizards seeking to better their understanding the mysteries of magic. Some are erudite and well-spoken, philosophizing on the nature of magic and ki, while others could be simple headed brawlers with a deep understanding of the energy of life.

Invokers typically clothe themselves in simple robes, only openly displaying their stigmata for the world when they have passed the Trials of Arcanum.

Invoker's Stigmata

3rd-level Way of Invoking feature

You gain proficiency in the Arcana and Nature skills, and you gain proficiency with the alchemist's supplies. You also gain a special Stigma, which will often react in some way when using the features of this subclass. You determine its appearance, or generate it randomly by rolling on the Invoker's Stigmata table.

Function of Energy

3rd-level Way of Invoking feature

Your control over Ki has enabled you to change an objects function without changing it's form. Swords you swing will not cut, and your hands can pierce through a target as easily as an arrow would.

As a bonus action, you can spend 1 Ki point to choose the damage type of any martial arts attack to bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing. This effect lasts for a minute, and functions the same as concentrating on a spell.

Additionally, when you hit with an unarmed Strike, you may spend 2 Ki points to learn either a damage type the creature is weak or resistant to.

Color of Energy

6th-level Way of Invoking feature

Your mastery of Ki has improved to the point where you can make it burn or freeze with a thought. When you use your Function of Energy feature, you may spend an additional Ki point to add Acid, Cold, Fire, Lighting, Poison, or Thunder Damage equal to your Wisdom Modifier

Essence of Invoking

11th-level Way of Invoking feature

You can now unleash a true torrent of energy, easily overwhelming lesser foes. Whenever you use your Function of Energy feature, you may spend an additional 3 Ki points to add Force, Necrotic, Psychic, or Radiant damage equal to your Wisdom Modifier

True Invocation

17th-level Way of Invoking feature

Your manipulation of Ki's innate properties has reached it's Zenith. As an action, you can expend 9 Ki points and cast Prismatic Spray. Casting it in this way requires no components.
