Base Class: Monk
A monk designed to disrupt and intercept magical abilities.
Magic Knowledge
Your study in the art of disruption brings you insight on the inner workings of the arcane. You gain proficiency in Arcana.
Ki Casting
Your study of the magical arts have awakened your ki to mimic magical effects that can detect and thwart other magic users. You may spend ki points to cast the following spells, using Wisdom as your spell casting modifier:
1 Ki: Detect Magic, Absorb Elements
2 Ki: Silence
You may use a bonus action to make an unarmed strike after using ki this way on your turn.
You gain access to more spells at 6th, and 11th levels.
Spellcaster's Bane
You know how to interrupt the focus of the arcane. Whenever you deal damage to a creature maintaining concentration, they have disadvantage on their concentration check. Additionally, when you damage a creature that can cast spells, you may spend one ki point to impose disadvantage on the next spell attack they attempt to cast before the end of your next turn.
Ki Casting Improvement
You gain access to more spells through your ki. You may spend your ki to cast:
2 Ki: Blindness/Deafness
3 Ki: Hold Person, Intellect Fortress
Deflect Magic Missile
You can absorb magical energy used against you, turning it into more power, or redirecting it at your foes.
When you are damaged by a spell, you may spend your reaction to reduce the damage by 1d10 + your Wisdom Modifier + your monk level. As part of the same reaction, you may do one of the following:
- Regain 2 ki points
- Spend a ki point to target a creature or object of your choice that you can see within 60 feet. It must make a dexterity saving throw against your Ki Save DC, taking the reduced damage on a fail
Magical Resiliance
Your ki grants you protection from the dangerous effects of magic. You gain advantage on all spell saves.
Ki Casting Improvement
You gain access to more spells through your ki. You may spend your ki to cast:
3 Ki: Dispel Magic, Freedom of Movement
4 Ki: Counterspell
Antimagic Soul
Your ki radiates antimagical power, which you can release in moments of need. You may spend 10 ki points to cast Antimagic Field.
Once you use ki to cast this spell, you must finish a long rest before you can cast it this way again.
