Base Class: Fighter
Awake to the psionic power within, a Nomad is a fighter who augments their physical prowess with psychoportation sciences. Many githyanki train to become such warriors, as do some of the most disciplined high elves. In the world of Eberron, many young kalashtar dream of becoming Nomad Warriors.
As a Nomad, you might have honed your psionic abilities through solo discipline, unlocked it under the tutelage of a master, or refined it at an academy dedicated to wielding the mind’s power as both weapon and shield.
Psionic Power
3rd-level Nomad Warrior feature
You harbor a wellspring of psionic energy within yourself. This energy is represented by your Psionic Energy dice, which are each a d6. You have a number of these dice equal to twice your proficiency bonus, and they fuel various psionic powers you have, which are detailed below.
Some of your powers expend the Psionic Energy die they use, as specified in a power’s description, and you can’t use a power if it requires you to use a die when your dice are all expended. You regain all your expended Psionic Energy dice when you finish a long rest. In addition, as a bonus action, you can regain one expended Psionic Energy die, but you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
When you reach certain levels in this class, the size of your Psionic Energy dice increases: at 5th level (d8), 11th level (d10), and 17th level (d12). The powers below use your Psionic Energy dice.
Spatial Diversion. When you or another creature you can see within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to expend one Psionic Energy die, roll the die, and reduce the damage taken by the number rolled plus your Charisma modifier (minimum reduction of 1), as you create a momentary rend between dimensions that deflect the attack.
Dimensional Shift. You cause a small tear (approximately 1' radius) in the interdimensional fabric of reality, creating a wormhole through the edges of adjacent planes. The nether end of said wormhole can be opened at any point you can see within 30'. Items small enough to pass through the tear that can be placed or thrown are instantly shifted through. As part of this action, you can make a single weapon attack as a bonus action. If this attack hits, you expend one Psionic Energy die, dealing the result of the roll plus your Charisma modifier as force damage to the target.
Body Equilibrium. As an action, you can adjust the weight of your body to correspond with the surface you're standing on. With this power active, you can conceivably walk on water, quicksand, or even a spider's web without sinking or breaking through. If you are falling when you use this discipline, you will fall 120' per round slow enough to escape injury. The duration of this ability is 10x the roll on one Psionic Energy die in minutes.
Because of your lightness when using Body Equilibrium, you must be wary of wind gusts, which could easily sweep you up and carry you away.
Once you take this action, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest, unless you expend a Psionic Energy die to take it again.
Psychoportation Adept
7th-level Nomad Warrior feature
You have mastered new ways to use your Psychoportation abilities, detailed below.
Dimensional Portal. As a bonus action, you open a portal to another unoccupied point you can see within range. As part of the same bonus action you used to create the rift, you can spend 5 feet of movement to leap through it, ending up in the space occupied by the second rift. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks. The range of this power is 10' per point rolled on one Psionic Energy Dice. Once you use this bonus action, you can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest, unless you expend a Psionic Energy die to use it again.
Unfettered. Your continued studies into mobility has given you a freedom of movement that few others enjoy. As an action, roll one Psionic Energy die, and for a number of hours equal to the number rolled your movement is unaffected by difficult terrain or spells and other magical effects that reduce speed and/or cause you to be paralyzed or restrained.
You can also spend 5' of movement to automatically escape from nonmagical restraints, such as manacles or a creature's grapple.
Finally, being underwater imposes no penalties on the target's movement nor attacks. It does not, however, allow you to breath underwater.
Once you use this action, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a Psionic Energy die to use it again.
Baleful Transposition
10th-level Nomad Warrior feature
As an action, you can expend one Psionic Energy die and choose one creature you can see within 120 feet of you. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, you and that creature teleport, swapping places. This ability fails and is wasted if either of you can't fit in the destination space. A creature can choose to fail their save.
Once you use this ability, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a Psionic Energy die to use it again.
Spatial Recall
15th-level Nomad Warrior feature
You gain the ability to use psionics to recall your steps. As a reaction when you are hit by an attack, you can teleport to an unoccupied space that you occupied since the start of your last turn, and the attack misses you.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest, unless you expend a Psionic Energy Die to do so again.
Psionic Banishment
18th-level Nomad Warrior feature
Your mastery of manipulating dimensions now allows you to "cast" the Banishment spell, requiring no components, and your spellcasting ability for the spell is Charisma. You may expend extra Psionic Energy die at the time of casting to affect multiple creatures. For each die spent, one additional creature may be banished.
Once you cast the spell with this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a Psionic Energy die to cast it again.
