Base Class: Rogue
This is a rouge subclass that focuses on mastering the ancient art of "Rendering". A process of understanding, hunting, and modifying dangerous machinery and programs to their own ends, and on the high end, inventing entirely new types of artifacts.
Know Your Enemy
Through careful observation of how the machinery around you works as well as behaves, you have gained a deeper understanding of how they operate.
Rendering
Using the knowledge of the ancients, as well as the machinery nearby, you have gained the ability to temporarily render new capabilities and entire new inventions into creation. You can have a number of renders equal to your Proficiency Bonus active at any given time. You can change these renders at the end of a long rest.
Electro-Nanite Pulse
(Prerequisite level 5): By watching the behavior of nanites during electrical storms, you have learned how to cause them to malfunction in a similar fashion. As a bonus action, each creature within 10 ft of user must make a Con saving throw = Users Render Save. On a failed save, creatures take 2d6 lightning damage. Damage increases to 3d6 at level 7, 4d6 at level 11, and 5d6 at level 17. You can use this render a number of times equal to Int modifier before requiring a recharge during a short rest.
Nanite-Enhanced boots.
Run like one of those brilliant, mechanical monsters with these incredibly speedy boots! These increase movement speed by +10, and allow for the wearer to cross difficult terrain as if it was normal terrain.
Nanite-Enhanced Cloak
(Prerequisite level 9): By manipulating nanites to create a mirrored image of the environment, the user can benefit from the spell Pass Without Trace a number of times equal to their Int modifier. This recharges after a long rest.
Nanite-Enhanced Gauntlets
What better way to get the drop on dangerous machina than from a literally drop? These allow for the wearer to have a climb speed, due to nanites in the fingertips of these gauntlets mimicking a Scratcher's ability to adhere to walls.
Nanite-Enhanced Stun
(Prerequisite level 15): Really hate a moving target huh? I really don't blame you, especially when they are a hulking piece of metal coming at you at the speed of light. Must be why you took after those nasty Curators. But now that tech is on our side, right? Wait... where are you pointing that thing? As a bonus action, user can force one target within 30 ft to make a CON saving throw equal to their Render Save DC. On a failure, target is stunned until the user's next turn. This Render can be used a number of times equal to half their INT modifier (rounded up) per long rest. Machina type enemies roll their save with disadvantage.
Nano-Tech Claws
Wow! Really like those big cats huh? Seems like it now that you have those claws, sheesh. These claws are 1d6+1, finesse, and concealable. Due to their precision construction, they also count as magical for the purposes of overcoming resistance.
Shield-Generating Amulet
Finally killed one of those over-grown bugs huh? Well, those carapaces really seem useful... This enhanced amulet produces a hardened shield around the wearer, allowing them to possibly shrug off deadly blows.
Knowing Your Enemy Further
Gain Expertise in Arcana, Investigation, Nature, and Tinker's Tools
Nanite-Enfused Strikes
When making your first sneak-attack in a turn, deal a number of d4 equal to half rouge lvl rounded up additional lightning damage.
Machina Manipulation
Once per short rest, you can force a machina within 60 ft under your command. Target makes a WIS save equal to your Render Save DC. On a failed save, the target follows your orders for a number of turns equal to your INT modifier. You can use a bonus action to command the machina to make an action.
Nanite-Enfused Stim
Once per short rest for one minute, as a bonus action user can gain the following benefits. Make one extra weapon attack, gain +10 movement speed, gain advantage on all weapon attacks, give enemies disadvantage on attack rolls made against them. At end of duration, user must succeed a DC 15 CON save or gain one level of exhaustion.
