Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

You have entered into a pact with a particularly ancient and powerful wielder of dark, occult magic. Typically these creatures are fey, but any creature type has their share of witches. Such creatures grant power to those who seek out alternative means of accessing magic, however this power should not be considered a gift. Witches strike deals that benefit themselves most of all, often gambling, manipulating, coercing, or deceiving in order to meet their ends. Motivations of witches are rarely ever direct or sensible, often cryptic in nature, and unfolding in particularly unpredictable manners.

Witches expect the powers granted be repaid, the most common form of repayment being a detriment to your future self. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Stealing or cursing your firstborn child
  • Claiming your soul when you have obtained a state of happiness and fulfillment
  • Robbing you of a significant achievement or lifelong goal
  • Asking favors that benefit the witch or her ends
