College of Nature

Adherents of the College of Nature master the art of venerating the wonders of nature. Nature's gifts are regarded as of paramount importance, and thus worth protecting. These bards wield a studied knowledge of the terrain and the denizens of the world therein, convincing audiences to appreciate the world around them.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join the College of Nature at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in nature and survival. If you already have proficiency in one or both of these you may choose another skill. 

Song of Nature

At 3rd level, you learn to perform songs venerating the wonders of the natural world.

Whenever you cast a spell on your turn, choose a friendly creature within 30 feet. You can expend one use of your bardic inspiration and apply one of the following effects. You can only activate each option once per turn.

Ballad of the Sea. Roll a bardic inspiration die and add the number you roll to your Dexterity and Constitution saves until the start of your next turn.

Sonata of the Volcano. Enemies attacking you with a melee attack provoke an attack of opportunity from you whenever they make an attack on you within 5ft. Add a bardic inspiration dice to the roll to hit the enemy. This lasts until this reaction is used once.

Ode of the Land. Your walking speed increases by 10ft and you gain a bonus to AC equal to a half a  roll of your bardic inspiration dice, rounded up. This lasts until the start of your next turn.

Mantle of Seasons

Starting at 6th level, your understanding of nature has given you the ability to protect other people against the damage it causes. Using your reaction, you may expend a use of your bardic inspiration to cast absorb elements at first level on an ally within 30ft without expending a spell slot.

Biome's Blessing

Starting at 14th level, whenever you use your Song of Nature, you can target yourself and up to 9 allies within 30 feet with the effect. The applied song will last on the creature a number of turns equal to half your proficiency modifier. This feature is usable once per short rest.
