Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The Shield Warden is an unyielding defender. Utilizing their prowess with shields, even those of unorthodox design to protect themselves and their companions from all forms of danger. Fearless in battle they are the vanguard of any assault, pushing through defenses weaker than their own while simultaneously supporting those to their left, right, and rear.

Proven Defender

At 3rd level, you gain access to the Shield Master feat and while wielding a shield, it counts as a blunt weapon dealing 1d8 bludgeoning damage  + your Strength modifier on a hit.

Shield Wall

At 7th level, you can bolster your allies defenses as well as your own. Your shield AC bonus is also granted to any creature of your choice whenever you are within 5ft. of them. In turn, your AC increases by +1 for each conscious creature you chose within range. If your ally is also wielding a shield, they also gain another +1 AC. Additionally, your ally may use one of your benefits that come from your Shield Master feat. as long as they are within range.

This ranged is increased to 10ft. at 10th level.

Hold the Line

At 10th level, your perseverance against all odds and determination to defend your allies is unyielding, even to the arcane arts. Whenever you have to roll a saving throw from being knocked prone or moved unwilling through magical or non-magical means, you may roll with advantage and add your proficiency bonus to the roll. You may use this feature up to a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier.

You regain all expended uses every Short or Long Rest.

To the Front

At 15th level, the adrenaline of battle does not cloud your judgement to hastily aid the vanguard. Whenever you can see an ally engaged with an enemy, you may use a bonus action to Dash. If you have moved 15ft. or more of your total movement speed, you automatically benefit from the Charger feat, costing no additional action or bonus action. Additionally, you may choose to have the enemy be knocked prone on a failed contested Strength check, instead of the weapon attack or shove.

Living Fortress

At 18th level, you become the embodiment of fortitude and resilience. You are now able to wield two shields and gain bonuses from both while wielding one in each hand or having one stowed on your back. Additionally, you are immune to all non-magical damage and resistant to fire, cold, thunder, and force damage while wielding two shields.
