Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Not all warlock patrons are about subversion of human pawns and the universe. There are luminous beings out there dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and arts and use their agents to explore the mysteries of their universe.

Mental Accuity

You understand all spoken languages. Through sounds and gestures, you may also communicate simple ideas with Small or smaller beasts. Additionally you gain expertise in the arcana and history skills.

You also gain the following spells from your patron at the appropriate levels

Expanded Spell List:

Level Spells
1 Detect Magic, Identify
2 Locate Object, Suggestion
3 Clairvoyance, Hypnotic Pattern
4 Arcane Eye, Compulsion
5 Contact Other Plane, Legend Lore

Flashes of Ingenuity

At first level you can use a reaction on your turn to choose one creature other than yourself within 60 feet of you who can hear you. During an attack, saving throw or ability check you can use your reaction to grant a bonus to their roll equal to your charisma modifier. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Arcane Secrets

At 6th level, you learn two spells of your choice from any classes. A spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Warlock table, or a cantrip. The chosen spells count as warlock spells for you but don’t count against the number of warlock spells you know. The warlock receives an additional two spells at 14th level.

Subject Matter Expert

You gain expertise in three skills. One per Long Rest you can use an action to gain proficiency in any one skill or tool of your choice.

Master of Magic & Lore

At 14th level, as a bonus action, you can call to mind the ability to cast one spell of your choice from any class’s spell list. The spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, it cannot be a spell on your spell list, and you follow the normal rules for casting it, including expending a spell slot. If the spell isn’t a warlock spell, it counts as a warlock spell when you cast it. The ability to cast the spell vanishes from your mind when you cast it or when the current turn ends.

You can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
