Base Class: Barbarian
Some tribes embrace the adrenaline and surge of joy that comes from dancing along the edge of a whirling firestorm. These thrill-seekers are known as burn riders, and their exploits are celebrated by all. Burn riders learn early on that speed and lightning-quick reactions are essential to avoid becoming trapped by the fickle whims of a raging emberstorm. They have an uncanny understanding of fire and can read the currents in the smoke.
Mount
You are a dangerous foe to face while mounted. While you are mounted and aren't incapacitated, you gain the following benefits:
- You have advantage on melee attack rolls against any unmounted creature that is smaller than your mount.
- You can force an attack targeted at your mount to target you instead.
- If your mount is subjected to an effect that allows it to make Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.
Give Me Fire
Starting at 6th level, if you take fire damage while raging, your rage cannot end unless you fall unconscious until the end of your next turn. Additionally, the next melee attack you hit after taking fire damage deals 2d6 fire damage in addition to its normal damage.
Ferocious Mount
Starting at 10th level, your mount gains a mind of its own. While you are mounted, your mount can take any action in its stat block, including the attack action. Additionally, while you are mounted and raging, your mount also gains the benefits of your rage.
Cinder Dance
Starting at 14th level, whenever you are targeted by an AOE attack while you are raging, you can use your reaction to move you and your mount in any direction up to half your movement speed. If this movement places you and your mount outside of the area of effect, you take no damage from the triggering effect, and you can immediately make an attack with advantage against any creature within your reach as a part of your reaction.
This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
