Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

So you've been turned into a vampire. Or things get a bit hairy at the full moon.

You may have been cursed with lycanthropy, your village devoured by vampires, or you are a reanimated corpse (that may or may not have all of the original parts). In any event, you have sworn to any god that will listen that you will have your revenge on whoever did this to you. You have taken the Oath of the Damned, and vowed to use any means necessary to make sure that no one will suffer the same way you do.

Redeem the cursed- You seen out those who have been cursed like you to release them from their horror.

Destroy the Roots- You will hunt down those who created these abominations and stop them from creating more.

End the Cycle- When curses can be spread by contagion you vow to stop them from spreading further.

Nothing to Lose- You have already lost everything, so there is nothing you won't do to achieve your goals.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Marked for Redemption. As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer of denunciation, using your Channel Divinity. Choose a number of fiendish or undead creatures up to your proficiency modifier within 30 ft. of you that you can see to make a CHA saving throw. On a failure, the creature is marked for redemption. If you kill that creature within one minute of marking it, the creature rises one minute later as a living commoner who is friendly to you.

Divine Strike. As a bonus action, you bless a weapon. The next time you make a successful attack with that weapon (including ranged attacks), the damage includes an additional 3d8 radiant damage.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Oath of the Damned Spells
Paladin Level Spells

3rd

zephyr strike, hunter's mark

Protect the Living

By 7th level, your dedication to preserving life radiates from you. When an ally within ten feet of you takes damage that would reduce their hit point maximum, that reduction is halved. At 18th level, this aura extends to 20 feet.

Aberration Hunter

Starting at 15th level, your ability to hunt aberrations is honed to a fine edge. When you use Divine Sense, the range extends to 120 feet and ignores cover.

Redeeming Angel

At 20th level, you can assume the form of a redeeming angel. Using your action, you radiate redemption.

  • Any undead creatures within 60 feet of you must succeed on a CHA saving throw or become living commoners who are friendly to you.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
