Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Restoration is an uncommon one for most paladins, binding them to a life of healing, mending, protecting the weak, and curing the sick. For these paladins, restoring life to a friend in danger is the purest form of service and one to which they dedicate their life to. While just as effective as their other counterparts in a battle, Oath of Restoration paladins are often found a few steps behind their more aggressive comrades, setting broken bones, healing allies, and bestowing blessings to all.
While often serving gods of life, light, order, and protection, they hold themselves accountable for the lives of their fellow party members. Responsible, merciful, and protective, they often feel responsible for deaths they believe they could have prevented.
TENETS OF RESTORATION
Though the exact words and strictures of the Oath of Restoration may vary, many of them follow similar codes:
Mercy. Do not deliver more force than absolutely necessary. Protect and aid those who cannot help themselves. End fights rather than starting them.
Servitude. If someone is injured, sick, or dying, it is your responsibility to do all that you can to help them. If you cannot heal them, you must stay with them and ease their passing, or assist in providing funeral rites. A soul that passes into the beyond without your guidance is a soul lost to the gods.
All Life Is Sacred. From the smallest of gnomes to the most ancient of dragons - all life must be protected. If two violent and painful choices are presented to you, choose the one that causes the least harm to all.
Greater Good. While certain lives may mean more to you (family, friends, loved ones) they must never outweigh the greater good. When the most people benefit from your decision, you have made the right choice.
Oath Spells
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed in the Oath of Restoration Spells table. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how oath spells work.

Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Restore the Light. You can use your Channel Divinity to restore purity and light to allies around you. As an action, you present your holy symbol and choose up to a number of creatures that you can see within 30 feet equal to double your proficiency bonus (minimum of two creatures.) Each target is healed for an amount equal to a number of d8s equal to half your paladin level rounded down (minimum of 1d8) + your spellcasting ability modifier (CHA {{cha:mod}}). Additionally, they can remove effects that would be removed by the lesser restoration spell.
Purge the Darkness. You can use your Channel Divinity to shine light and purity upon even the darkest of foes. As a bonus action, you can touch a melee weapon, imbuing it with holy light. For the next minute, the weapon deals an additional 1d8 radiant damage on a hit. It also sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius, and dim light for an additional 10-feet. You can end this effect early, sending a wave of searing light from the weapon. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet of the weapon takes 1d6 + your paladin level as radiant damage. This explosion also dispels any magical darkness within the 30-foot radius (like that which is created by the darkness spell.)
Bonus Cantrips
When you choose this oath at 3rd level, you gain the sacred flame and light cantrips if you don’t already know them.
Aura of Recovery
Starting at 7th level, your restorative energy reaches out to those around you, increasing the rate at which their wounds are restored. Any time an ally within 10 ft. of you receives healing, it is increased by an amount equal to your spellcasting ability modifier (CHA {{chamod}}.) (minimum of +1.)
Healing Radiance
Starting at 15th level, you can regain life from radiance. Whenever you deal radiant damage, you can spend a reaction to heal for an amount equal to half of the radiant damage dealt from one attack or spell. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all uses at the end of a long rest.
Beacon of Restoration
At 20th level, as an action, you can become an avatar of healing for one minute, granting you the following benefits:
- You gain resistance to necrotic and radiant damage.
- All magical healing that originates from you is doubled.
- Your speed increases by 15 feet.
- You cast bright light within a radius of 30 feet and dim light for an additional 30 feet.
This effect ends early if you become unconscious. Once you use this feature, You cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.
