Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

Religious cults that worship the gods of the hunt, nature, or animal life, commonly form their own ranger orders, combining the ranger's inherent reverence for nature and martial skill with the divine protection offered upon them by their patron deities to turn them into perfect predators. The most masterful and zealous members of those orders are often referred to as Divine Trackers, and they are just as often sent out to hunt dangerous quarry as they are to eliminate the enemies of the order. Trained and blessed in the art of the hunt, the Trackers never fail to seek out their target.

Divine Tracker Magic

3rd-level Divine Tracker feature

You learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Divine Tracker Spells table. Each spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of ranger spells you know.

Divine Tracker Spells

Ranger Level Spell
3rd bless
5th prayer of healing
9th bestow curse
13th dominate beast
17th contagion

Blessed Hunt

3rd-level Divine Tracker feature

You have learned the secret rituals and rites required to initiate the Blessed Hunt. As an action, choose one creature known to you within a 1000ft radius. For the next 10 minutes, you know the location of your target if it is not hidden from divination magic. When attacking the target, you suffer no penalties from the target's cover, obscurement or your inability to see the target. Additionally, you get a +1 bonus to all attack and damage rolls against the target. When you reach 11th level in this class, this bonus grows to +2.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Divine Offering

3rd-level Divine Tracker feature

You have entered into a ceremonial role that allows you to sacrifice any creature you have felled to your deity for a boon of divine restoration. As a bonus action, you can touch a corpse of a creature that has been killed by you within the last hour. When you do so, the corpse is immediately destroyed, and you receive a blessing of celestial energy. You can roll a number of d6s equal to half your level in this class, add them together, and restore an amount of health points equal to the total, divided as you choose among any number of creatures you can see in a 60ft radius around you.

Once you use this ability, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.

Bestial Senses

7th-level Divine Tracker feature

The blessings of your deity have bestowed upon you supernatural senses befitting an apex predator. You gain the following:

  • darkvision out to a range of 40 feet (if you already have darkvision from any source, its range instead increases by 20 feet),
  • blindsight out to a range of 15 feet (if you already have blindsight from any source, its range instead increases by 10 feet),
  • +3 bonus to all Wisdom (Perception) checks.

Celestial Flame

11th-level Divine Tracker feature

You have gained the ability to channel your deity's divine might through your body and soul, imbuing powerful searing energy into your attacks, but burning away your life in the process. When you make an attack roll during your turn, you may choose to take 1d10 radiant damage from this feature. If you do so and the attack hits, the target will take extra 3d10 radiant damage from the attack.

Sacred Hide

15th-level Divine Tracker feature

The blessing of your faith allows you to resist death by becoming an avatar of a sacred animal. When you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can instead drop to 1 hit point and transform, releasing a flash of light that blinds each creature of your choice within a 30ft radius until the start of their next turn, provided the creature can see you.

The transformation lasts for one minute. When transformed, you gain the following benefits:

  • You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
  • You have advantage when making Wisdom and Constitution saving throws.
  • At the start of each of your turns, you regain 2d8 hit points.
  • You do not suffer any damage when using the Celestial Flame feature.

Once you use this ability, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.

The appearance of your transformation is affected by what animals your faith considers sacred or otherwise significant to the worship. A follower of Artemis, for instance, may temporarily grow the glowing deer antlers or develop canine features, while the worshiper of Pan would instead adopt a goat-like appearance.
