Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards of the College of Lullabies have many paths ahead of them, they can bestow great and powerful dreams that drive heroes to be all they can be, they can bring peace to tumultuous minds giving even the most tortured souls comfort, and they can render men mad with their powerful nightmares. These bardic talents are useful in many professions, they can aid those making use of subterfuge and manipulation to change the minds of those in power, they can put to rest even the most raucous crowd and make off with their pockets full, they can even pull a persons deepest secrets from their sleep.

Boundless Rest

When you join the College of Lullabies at 3rd level, you develop your first Lullaby.

You gain a number of free uses of the spell Sleep as a first level spell. You may cast this spell twice at 3rd level.

The number of uses of sleep increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 3 at 5th level, 4 at 9th level, and 5 at 13th level.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Dream Weaving

Starting at 3rd level, you can gaze into the dreams of those around you and help shape them.

As an action you can expend a bardic inspiration to focus your mind on any one unconscious creature that you can see within 5 feet of you. If the creature you choose has an Intelligence of 3 or lower, the creature is unaffected.

You initially learn the surface thoughts of the creature—what is most on its mind in that moment. As an action, you can either shift your attention to another creature’s thoughts or attempt to probe deeper into the same creature’s dreams. If you probe deeper, the target must make a Wisdom saving throw subtracting the amount rolled on your bardic inspiration. If it fails, you gain insight into its reasoning (if any), its emotional state, and something that looms large in its mind (such as something it worries over, loves, or hates). If it succeeds, they wake up.

You can also use this ability to mold their dreams in certain directions, as an action while focusing on their dream you can change the contents of their dreams, minor changes including slight tone shifts and imparting vague messages can be made freely however sudden or extreme changes such as turning a dream to a nightmare or creating vivid detail in general will cause the target to make a wisdom saving throw subtracting the amount rolled on your bardic inspiration. If it fails the effect takes place, if it succeeds, they wake up.

Songs of Slumber

At 6th level you develop three new lullabies

Draining Refrain. As an action you can begin your Draining Refrain and force one creature that can hear you to make a wisdom saving throw gaining a level of exhaustion on a failed save. while concentrating (as you would concentrate on a spell) you may use your action on subsequent turns to force the creature make additional wisdom saving throws or gain additional levels of exhaustion up to three levels, once they have these three levels of exhaustion you may use your action to force them to make a wisdom saving throw causing them to fall unconscious on a failed save. They may make a wisdom saving throw on their turn in order to shake off some of the effects, on a success they either wake up from their unconscious state or lose a level of exhaustion if they are not unconscious. Your Draining Refrain lasts up to a minute or until you lose concentration.

Ballad of Dreams. As an action you can begin your Ballad of Dreams and cast the Major Image spell centered on yourself.

Nightmare Aria. As an action you can begin your Nightmare Aria and force one creature within 30 feet that can hear you to make a wisdom saving throw taking psychic damage equal to three rolls of your bardic inspiration die on a failed save, and half on a success. For the next minute or until concentration ends (as you would concentrate on a spell) as an action you may force a creature within 30 feet that can hear you to make a wisdom saving throw taking psychic damage equal to three rolls of your bardic inspiration die on a failed save, and half on a success.

You can use each of Lullabies once before needing to take a long rest to use them again.

Unending Sleep

At 14th level, you gain total mastery over lullabies and can give your most basic song much more power

Whenever you cast the Sleep spell using your Boundless Rest feature, you do not roll for the amount of affected hp, instead taking the maximum possible roll on the die.
