Base Class: Monk

When a monk takes this subclass at level 3, they can spin a web (any size)  and defeat monsters (just like flies).

Tangled Skein

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your ki to duplicate the effects of certain spells. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to cast web, or spider climb without providing material components. 

Additionally as an action you can shoot a web from you hand at a creature within thirty feet of you as a melee attack. On a hit they take damage equal to your martial arts die.  At 11th level whenever you succeed with a web attack you can spend a ki point to attempt to restrain your target. They must make a strength saving throw against your DC. On a failure they are restrained until the end of your next turn.

Heightened Senses

Your ability to sense danger increases and aids in your protection. At this level you can a +5 to your passive perception and initiative rolls.  When an attacker that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to halve the attack's damage against you.

Your web attack now counts as magical damage to overcome resistances or immunities to non-magical damage.

Venom Strike

By 11th level you have learned ot emulate more traits of your path's namesake. Whenever you succeed in stunning a target you can add one martial arts die to the roll. The damage type is poison.

 

Enhanced Defense

When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to add your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1) to your AC, including against the triggering attack. This effect lasts until the start of your next turn.
